Here you take the flat road right at the hairpin bend, at the explanatory signs, continuing for about 5 km on asphalted surface until reaching the locality Altumeira. It is noted that it is possible to reach the Altumeira parking lot directly by car, subject to purchase of a specific ticket or with the shuttle service active in July and August. Then the actual trail begins, almost entirely flat or with brief sections of gentle ascent, which leads directly to Lago Viola. The view opening before your eyes is spectacular from the start, with sight of the imposing peaks dominating the valley. After about 25 minutes, a fork is reached where you should keep right (the direction is well indicated by the appropriate signs). Continuing on the gently sloping and consistently inclined path, you first reach the beautiful alpine pond and immediately after the Rifugio Viola, at an altitude of about 2,300 m. Il percorso parte in località Arnoga, dove è possibile parcheggiare l'auto. Qui si imbocca la strada pianeggiante proprio sul tornante, in corrispondenza dei cartelli esplicativi, proseguendo per circa 5 km su fondo asfaltato fino alla localita' Altumeira. Si segnala che e' possibile raggiungere il parcheggio di Altumeira direttamente in auto, previo pagamento di apposito ticket oppure con il servizio navetta attivo nei mesi di luglio e agosto. Si inizia quindi a percorrere il sentiero vero e proprio, quasi interamente pianeggiante o con brevi tratti di leggera salita, che conduce direttamente al Lago Viola. Il panorama che si spalanca davanti agli occhi e' fin da subito spettacolare, con vista sulle imponenti cime che dominano la vallata. Dopo circa 25 minuti si incontra un bivio, dove e' necessario tenere la destra (la direzione e' comunque ben segnalata dagli appositi cartelli). Proseguendo sul sentiero in falsopiano e con pendenza costante, si raggiunge dapprima lo stupendo laghetto alpino e subito dopo il Rifugio Viola, ad una quota di circa 2.300 mt. Da qui e' possibile anche raggiungere in poco tempo il Passo Viola, che segna il confine con la Svizzera.
, de=Die Strecke beginnt am Ort Arnoga, wo man das Auto parken kann. Hier führt eine ebene Straße am Haarnadelkurve entlang, an dem sich auch erklärende Schilder befinden, und es geht ca. 5 km auf Asphalt bis zum Ort Altumeira. Es ist möglich, den Parkplatz Altumeira direkt mit dem Auto zu erreichen, gegen Zahlung eines speziellen Tickets oder mit dem im Juli und August aktiven Shuttle-Service. Dann beginnt der eigentliche Weg, der fast vollständig eben ist oder kurze leichte Steigungen aufweist und direkt zum Lago Viola führt. Die Aussicht, die sich vor den Augen öffnet, ist von Anfang an spektakulär, mit Blick auf die imposanten Gipfel, die das Tal dominieren. Nach etwa 25 Minuten erreicht man eine Gabelung, an der man rechts halten muss (die Richtung ist jedoch sehr gut mit entsprechenden Schildern markiert). Auf dem fast ebenen Weg mit konstanter Steigung erreicht man zuerst den wunderschönen alpinen kleinen See und kurz danach die Rifugio Viola auf etwa 2.300 m Höhe. Von hier aus kann man auch in kurzer Zeit den Passo Viola erreichen, der die Grenze zur Schweiz bildet.}}
