Also mentioned by Leonardo Da Vinci in his "Atlantic Codex", they are located in the municipality of Piuro and are clearly visible from the road. The homonymous stream originates at 3050 m, at Pizzo di Lago, and descending towards the valley floor crosses two hanging valleys, both of glacial origin, at about 2000 and 1000 m above sea level respectively. The Acqua Fraggia stream thus forms a series of waterfalls, of which the lower ones with their famous double drop are the most scenic. The proposed route starts from Chiavenna, a town well worth visiting, and follows for a long stretch the cycle-pedestrian path that reaches the border with Switzerland. At the coordinates point N 46° 19.559' E 9° 25.407' (waypoint on track) keep left and continue along the route that runs alongside the state road. Shortly after, the state road is crossed via an underpass and in a short time the area with the waterfalls is reached.

Il torrente omonimo nasce a 3050 m, al pizzo di Lago, e scendendo verso il fondovalle percorre due valli sospese, entrambe di origine glaciale, rispettivamente sui 2000 e sui 1000 m di altitudine. Il torrente Acqua Fraggia forma pertanto una serie di cascate di cui, quelle più in basso con il loro celebre doppio salto, sono le più suggestive. Il percorso proposto parte da Chiavenna, cittadina che merita una visita, e segue per un lungo tratto il sentiero ciclo-pedonale che arriva fino al confine con la Svizzera. Al punto di coordinate N 46° 19,559’ E 9° 25,407’ (waypoint su traccia) tenere a sinistra e continuare lungo il percorso che costeggia la strada statale. Poco dopo si attraversa la statale tramite un sottopassaggio e si raggiunge in breve la zona con le cascate.

Der Bach Acqua Fraggia bildet somit eine Reihe von Wasserfällen, von denen die weiter unten mit ihrem berühmten Doppelsprung die eindrucksvollsten sind. Die vorgeschlagene Route startet in Chiavenna, einer Stadt, die einen Besuch wert ist, und folgt lange dem Rad- und Fußweg, der bis zur Grenze zur Schweiz führt. An den Koordinaten N 46° 19,559’ E 9° 25,407’ (Waypoint auf der Spur) links halten und den Weg entlang der Staatsstraße fortsetzen. Kurz danach unterquert man die Staatsstraße durch einen Tunnel und erreicht schnell den Bereich mit den Wasserfällen.
