The following bike route allows you to make a loop circuit in Sondrio starting and ending at the central Piazza Garibaldi. Most of the route runs along a cycle path and is therefore ideal for families with children.

WHAT TO SEE ALONG THE ROUTE

Along the route there are several rest areas and farm stays where you can enjoy typical Valtellina dishes. In Albosaggia there is the "Chiosco dei Pavoni" and a local Cooperative where you can buy typical products, as well as a riding stable.

PARCO ADDA MALLERO BARTESAGHI

This park is located south of Sondrio, at the confluence of the Mallero stream with the Adda river, and covers an area of about 20 hectares. The park is equipped with several cycle-pedestrian paths branching off the main loop. It features a refreshment bar in the center, rest and play areas for children, and is connected to the center of Sondrio via the path along the right bank of the Mallero stream. Near the park, it is possible to take the Valtellina trail towards Morbegno.

USEFUL INFO ABOUT THE ROUTE

From Piazza Garibaldi you can take the Valtellina Trail heading along via Vanoni and following the Valtellina Trail (direction Morbegno/Colico) at the roundabout towards Albosaggia. In Caiolo, to return to Sondrio, you need to go up and cross the bridge; before the level crossing turn left to reach the cycle path below that leads to Parco Bartesaghi.

Il bike tour di seguito proposto permette di fare un circuito ad anello a Sondrio con partenza e arrivo nella centralissima piazza Garibaldi. La maggior parte dell’itinerario si snoda su pista ciclabile ed è pertanto l'ideale per famiglie con bambini.

PARCO ADDA MALLERO BARTESAGHI

Questo parco si trova a sud di Sondrio, alla confluenza del torrente Mallero con il fiume Adda, ed occupa un’area di circa 20 ettari. Il parco è dotato di vari percorsi ciclopedonali che si dipartono dall’anello principale. È attrezzato con punto di ristoro-bar al centro, aree di sosta e gioco per i bambini ed è collegato con il centro di Sondrio tramite il percorso lungo la sponda destra del torrente Mallero. In prossimità del parco è possibile imboccare il sentiero Valtellina in direzione Morbegno.

INFO UTILI SUL PERCORSO

Da Piazza Garibaldi si può imboccare il Sentiero Valtellina dirigendosi in via Vanoni e prendendo il Sentiero Valtellina (direzione Morbegno/Colico) all’altezza della rotonda per Albosaggia. A Caiolo, per rientrare verso Sondrio, bisogna salire e attraversare il ponte; prima del passaggio a livello svoltare a sinistra per raggiungere la ciclabile sottostante che conduce al Parco Bartesaghi.

Die hier vorgeschlagene Radtour ermöglicht eine Rundstrecke in Sondrio mit Start und Ziel auf dem zentralen Piazza Garibaldi. Der Großteil der Strecke verläuft auf einem Radweg und ist daher ideal für Familien mit Kindern.

Entlang der Strecke gibt es verschiedene Rastplätze und Bauernhöfe, wo man typische Gerichte aus dem Veltlin genießen kann. In Albosaggia befindet sich der "Chiosco dei Pavoni" und eine lokale Kooperative, wo man typische Produkte kaufen kann, sowie ein Reitstall.

PARCO ADDA MALLERO BARTESAGHI

Dieser Park liegt südlich von Sondrio an der Mündung des Baches Mallero in den Fluss Adda und erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von etwa 20 Hektar. Der Park verfügt über verschiedene Rad- und Wanderwege, die vom Hauptkreis abzweigen. Er ist ausgestattet mit einem Imbiss und Bar im Zentrum, Rast- und Spielbereichen für Kinder und ist mit dem Zentrum von Sondrio durch den Weg am rechten Ufer des Mallero-Baches verbunden. In der Nähe des Parks kann man den Valtellina-Weg in Richtung Morbegno nehmen.

NÜTZLICHE INFORMATIONEN ZUR STRECKE

Vom Piazza Garibaldi aus kann man den Sentiero Valtellina in der Via Vanoni nehmen und am Kreisverkehr bei Albosaggia den Sentiero Valtellina (Richtung Morbegno/Colico) folgen. In Caiolo muss man zum Rückweg nach Sondrio die Brücke überqueren; vor dem Bahnübergang links abbiegen, um den darunterliegenden Radweg zu erreichen, der zum Parco Bartesaghi führt.
