The following bike route allows you to make a loop circuit in Sondrio starting and ending at the central Piazza Garibaldi. Most of the route runs along a cycle path and is therefore ideal for families with children.

WHAT TO SEE ALONG THE ROUTE
Along the route there are several rest areas and farm stays where you can enjoy typical Valtellina dishes. In Albosaggia there is the "Chiosco dei Pavoni" and a local Cooperative where you can buy typical products, as well as a riding stable.

PARCO ADDA MALLERO BARTESAGHI
This park is located south of Sondrio, at the confluence of the Mallero stream with the Adda river, and covers an area of about 20 hectares. The park is equipped with several cycle-pedestrian paths branching off the main loop. It features a refreshment bar in the center, rest and play areas for children, and is connected to the center of Sondrio via the path along the right bank of the Mallero stream. Near the park, it is possible to take the Valtellina trail towards Morbegno.

USEFUL INFO ABOUT THE ROUTE
From Piazza Garibaldi you can take the Valtellina Trail heading along via Vanoni and following the Valtellina Trail (direction Morbegno/Colico) at the roundabout towards Albosaggia. In Caiolo, to return to Sondrio, you need to go up and cross the bridge; before the level crossing turn left to reach the cycle path below that leads to Parco Bartesaghi.
