The return can be done on the same route or, if snow conditions permit and after checking for avalanche risk, you can take the easy path S487 that descends on the orographic left from Pontela, entering the wonderful woods and discovering a viewpoint of the valley unknown to most.
In addition to its naturalistic interest, the Rezzalo Valley is known for its numerous rural settlements, consisting of hut nuclei, still used especially during the summer season.
, it=Da Fumero - Fontanaccia , Sondalo, si imbocca il sentiero, una vecchia strada militare, che segue il percorso del torrente Rezzalasco. Il tracciato si snoda tra fitti boschi di abete rosso fino a raggiungere la piana di S. Bernardo, con la sua caratteristica chiesetta e il rifugio La Baita.Il rientro può essere effettuato sulla medesiva via oppure, se le condizioni della neve lo permettono e previa verifica del rischio valanghivo, si può percorrere il facile sentiero S487 che scende in sinistra orografica da Pontela addentrandosi nei meravigliosi boschi e scoprendo un punto di vista della valle sconosciuto ai più.
Oltre all'interesse naturalistico, la Val di Rezzalo e' nota per i numerosi insediamenti rurali, costituiti da nuclei di baite, ancora oggi utilizzati soprattutto durante la stagione estiva.

Der Weg schlängelt sich durch dichte Fichtenwälder, bis er die Ebene von S. Bernardo mit ihrer charakteristischen kleinen Kirche und der Schutzhütte La Baita erreicht.Der Rückweg kann auf demselben Weg erfolgen oder, wenn die Schneeverhältnisse es zulassen und nachdem man sich über die Lawinengefahr informiert hat, kann man den einfachen Weg S487 nehmen, der auf der orographisch linken Seite von Pontela absteigt, in die wunderschönen Wälder eindringt und einen den meisten unbekannten Aussichtspunkt auf das Tal eröffnet.
Das Val di Rezzalo ist nicht nur für seine Naturschönheiten bekannt, sondern auch für seine zahlreichen ländlichen Siedlungen, die aus Hütten bestehen, die vor allem im Sommer noch genutzt werden.
