Rezzalo Valley (Fontanaccia - San Bernardo)

From Fumero - Fontanaccia , Sondalo, take the trail, an old military road, that follows the path of the Rezzalasco stream. The trail winds through dense spruce forests until it reaches the plain of S. Bernardo, with its characteristic little church and La Baita refuge.

The return can be done on the same route or, if snow conditions permit and after checking for avalanche risk, you can take the easy path S487 that descends on the orographic left from Pontela, entering the wonderful woods and discovering a viewpoint of the valley unknown to most.

In addition to its naturalistic interest, the Rezzalo Valley is known for its numerous rural settlements, consisting of hut nuclei, still used especially during the summer season.
