From Fumero, Sondalo, you join the trail, an old military road which follows the course of the Rezzalasco stream. The route winds through dense spruce woods until it reaches the plain of St. Bernardo, with its characteristic church and la Baita refuge. In addition to its naturalistic interest, the Val di Rezzalo is known for its numerous rural settlements, consisting of nuclei of huts, still used today, especially during the summer season.
