Si svolta a sinistra e si sale sul versante bresciano del Mortirolo. Una salita che non deve spaventare per il nome che porta. Si sale con regolarita', a parte un leggero aumento di pendenza tra i 3,5 km e i 4 km al 10%. L'ascesa e' costante e regolare fino a meno 2 km dalla vetta, quando la salita si fa impegnativa, prima di arrivare in cima dove ci aspetta il cartello Passo del Mortirolo, luogo simbolo per tutti i bikers. Anche un campione come Alberto Contador, ha scelto questo luogo, per una foto ricordo diventata subito tra le piu' condivise del web. Der Mortirolo-Pass kann auch von Aprica aus erreicht werden, und zwar auf verschiedenen Wegen: über Pian di Gembro und Trivigno, oder hinunter nach Edolo und dann das Camonica-Tal hinauf bis zum Dorf Monno. Hier biegen wir links ab und steigen auf der Brescianer Seite des Mortirolo hinauf. Ein Anstieg, der aufgrund seines Namens nicht erschrecken sollte. Abgesehen von einem leichten Anstieg zwischen km 3,5 und km 4 mit einer Steigung von 10 % geht es gleichmäßig bergauf. Der Anstieg ist gleichmäßig, bis weniger als 2 km vor dem Gipfel, wo die Steigung anspruchsvoll wird, bevor man den Gipfel erreicht, wo das Schild Passo del Mortirolo auf einen wartet, ein symbolischer Ort für alle Radfahrer.
