It is possible to reach the Mortirolo pass also from Aprica and through different routes, passing Pian Gembro and Trivigno, or edolo and then going up through Valle Camonica to the town of Monno. A climb that does not have to be scaring because of its name. you climb steadily, except for a slight increase in gradient, up to 10%, between 3.5 and 4 km. The ascent is constant and regular until 2 km from the top, where the climb becomes demanding before reaching the famous road sign Mortirolo Pass- a symbolic spot for all cyclists. Also the champion Alberto Contador chose this place to take a souvenir photo that immediately became popular on the web. The overall length is 12.7 km but the starting point is at the crossroads down in the valley bottom, at 891 m a.s.l., higher than the 552 m a.s.l. of Mazzo.
