In Bormio and across the whole Valtellina, there are many vineyards which produce highly distinctive wines.
Not to mention the many spirits and unique bitter liqueurs made with mountain herbs that are the perfect way to round off a traditional Bormio dinner. As everyone knows, in the mountains no meal is complete without a glass of wine. In the Valtellina, there are more than 850 hectares of vine terraces which gets lots of sunshine. On these vines, the grapes mature slowly, helping to produce some incredible wines, many with protected origin status. The abundance of aromatic herbs has, for centuries, lent itself to the production of very recognisable bitter liqueurs and digestifs.
