The route alternates - almost regularly - woods, vineyards, stone villages with gardens and fountains, and at the same pace paths, mule tracks, paved or cement roads.
The starting point is the symbol of Morbegno since the 18th century, namely the Ponte di Ganda which "crosses" the Adda river. The road must therefore be crossed very carefully and then followed - to the left - for a short stretch until you meet the signage indicating "Sentiero del Viandante" and Civo. The hairpin bends go up the Costiera and at the ninth one you must turn right towards the locality of San Bello, with the homonymous small church already in sight, to cross among the stone and wood houses. The gate is the entrance to the beautiful woods. The dry stone walls that border the path in many stretches well explain how important it was in the past. The path emerges from the woods onto Provincial Road 10, to cross it to reach the cement one on the opposite side. The locality of Selvapiana deserves a stop and a visit. The village is a great example of respectful restoration. The route continues for a stretch along the paved road among the vineyards (here is also the Cooperativa Terrazze dei Cech). In the locality of Acquamarcia you must turn right and follow, uphill, the mule track that crosses the nucleus and then climbs up to the locality of San Biagio with the homonymous small church in a panoramic position. The carriageable road, with a couple of "cuts" on the path, must be descended until the locality of Santa Croce. The return to Morbegno passes again through the locality of San Bello and then it is all downhill on a mule track with a certain slope.
