Document{{en=The Sentiero Rusca, a toponym attributed by the Comunità Montana Valtellina di Sondrio, traces in large parts the secular itinerary which, in historical archive documentation, is called the valley road and known as the ancient route of Valmalenco or the via del Muretto. It starts from Sondrio at 306 meters above sea level and touches the villages of Ponchiera, Arquino, Torre di Santa Maria with many of its hamlets, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Chiareggio and, after a ride of about 32 km, it reaches the Muretto Pass at 2,562 meters above sea level. From the pass, it is possible to continue towards the Maloja Pass and then to Chiavenna or in Switzerland towards Saint Moritz. In this itinerary, the second part is illustrated: CHIESA IN VALMALENCO-CHIAREGGIO-MURETTO PASS. One returns to follow a classic trail of medium and high altitude with breathtaking landscapes. Immediately after crossing the inhabited area of Chiesa in Valmalenco, a short stretch on an asphalt road is covered up to the Museo del Giovello, moving to the right hydrographic side of the Mallero stream (therefore going uphill keeping to the left) and reaching the locality San Giuseppe, venturing deeper and deeper into the valley until reaching Chiareggio, a renowned tourist location of Alta Valmalenco. Always follow the signage (yellow signposts and trail identifier no. 304). From here begins the most demanding stretch that will take us to the Italo-Swiss border of the Muretto Pass. It is advisable to split the route into two stages given the length of the itinerary (about 18 km) and the management of the return exploiting the numerous accommodation offers of the locality Chiareggio., it=Il Sentiero Rusca, toponimo attribuito dalla Comunita' Montana Valtellina di Sondrio, ricalca in larghi tratti l'itinerario secolare che, nella documentazione storica d'archivio, e' denominato strada di valle e conosciuto quale antica via della Valmalenco o via del Muretto. Parte da Sondrio a 306 metri s.l.m e tocca i borghi di Ponchiera, Arquino, Torre di Santa Maria con molte sue frazioni, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Chiareggio e, dopo una cavalcata di circa 32 km si raggiunge, il passo del Muretto a 2.562 metri s.l.m. Dal valico e' possibile proseguire verso il passo del Maloja e poi a Chiavenna oppure in Svizzera verso Saint Moritz. In questo itinerario viene illustrata la seconda parte: CHIESA IN VALMALENCO-CHIAREGGIO-PASSO DEL MURETTO. Si ritorna a percorrere un classico sentiero di media e alta quota con paesaggi mozzafiato. Subito dopo aver attraversato l'abitato di Chiesa in Valmalenco, si percorre un breve tratto su strada asfaltata fino al Museo del Giovello, ci si sposta in destra idrografica del torrente Mallero (quindi salendo ci si tiene a sinistra) e si raggiunge la localita' San Giuseppe, addentrandosi sempre piu' nella valle fino a raggiungere Chiareggio, rinomata localita' turistica dell'Alta Valmalenco seguono sempre la segnaletica (cartellonistica gialla e identificativo sentiero n. 304). Da qui inizia il tratti piu' faticoso che ci portera' al confine italosvizzero del Passo del Muretto. E' consigliabile suddividere il percorso in due tappe vista la lunghezza dell'itinerario (circa 18 km) e la gestione del rientro sfruttando le numerose offerte ricettive della loc. Chiareggio., de=Der Sentiero Rusca, ein topografischer Name, der von der Comunita' Montana Valtellina di Sondrio vergeben wurde, folgt in weiten Teilen dem jahrhundertealten Weg, der in historischen Archivdokumenten als Talstraße bezeichnet wird und als alte Route des Valmalenco oder des Muretto-Wegs bekannt ist. Er beginnt in Sondrio auf 306 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel und führt durch die Dörfer Ponchiera, Arquino, Torre di Santa Maria mit vielen seiner Fraktionen, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Chiareggio und erreicht nach einer Strecke von etwa 32 km den Muretto-Pass auf 2.562 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Vom Pass aus ist es möglich, weiter Richtung Maloja-Pass und dann nach Chiavenna oder in die Schweiz nach Saint Moritz zu gehen. In dieser Route wird der zweite Teil beschrieben: CHIESA IN VALMALENCO-CHIAREGGIO-MURETTO-PASS. Es wird ein klassischer Weg mittlerer und hoher Höhenlage mit atemberaubenden Landschaften zurückgelegt. Direkt nach dem Durchqueren des Ortes Chiesa in Valmalenco folgt ein kurzer Abschnitt auf einer asphaltierten Straße bis zum Museo del Giovello, man wechselt auf das rechte Flussufer des Mallero-Bachs (also bergauf hält man sich links) und erreicht den Ort San Giuseppe, wobei man immer tiefer ins Tal vordringt, bis Chiareggio erreicht wird, ein renommierter Ferienort im oberen Valmalenco, gefolgt von der Wegweisung (gelbe Schilder und Wegnummer 304). Ab hier beginnt der anstrengendste Abschnitt, der uns zur deutsch-schweizerischen Grenze des Muretto-Passes führt. Es wird empfohlen, die Strecke aufgrund der Länge (ca. 18 km) und der Rückkehrlogistik in zwei Etappen zu unterteilen, wobei die zahlreichen Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten in Chiareggio genutzt werden.}}
