Document{{en=This circular route starts from Piazza del Kuerc, the historic heart of Bormio, and combines nature and authentic Valtellina charm in a suggestive path offering ever-changing views of the valley. Ideal in autumn, when the Pedemontana della Reit is embraced by the foliage of larches and Scots pines, the route offers a relaxing walk with an alpine flavor.

Leaving the square, you cross the old village and take the road leading to the Alpine Botanical Garden Rezia (worth a short visit), where the trail for the Pedemontana della Reit begins. The path is comfortable and almost flat, well exposed to the sun and perfect even on cooler October days. Walking through resin-scented woods and panoramic clearings, you enjoy splendid views over Bormio, Valdidentro, and the peaks of the Cima Piazzi and Ortles-Cevedale groups.

Upon reaching the locality of Uzza, the path gently descends to the small rural village of Teregua, where time seems to have stopped among ancient wooden huts and the picturesque little church of the Holy Crucifix. From here, you cross the bridge over the Adda River and return to Bormio following the cycle-pedestrian path along the Frodolfo stream, amid meadows and pastures at the foot of the mountains.

A perfect route for those looking for a simple yet satisfying walk, with the possibility to stop along the way for a scenic break or a picnic amidst autumn colors.

Lasciata la piazza, si attraversa il borgo antico e si imbocca la strada che conduce al Giardino Botanico Alpino Rezia (merita una breve visita), dove inizia il sentiero per la Pedemontana della Reit. Il tracciato è comodo e quasi pianeggiante, ben esposto al sole e perfetto anche nelle giornate più fresche di ottobre. Camminando tra boschi profumati di resina e radure panoramiche, si aprono splendide viste su Bormio, sulla Valdidentro e sulle cime del gruppo Cima Piazzi e Ortles-Cevedale.

Raggiunta la località Uzza, il sentiero scende dolcemente fino al piccolo borgo rurale di Teregua, dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato tra antiche baite in legno e la pittoresca chiesetta del Santo Crocifisso. Da qui si attraversa il ponte sul fiume Adda e si rientra a Bormio seguendo la pista ciclopedonale lungo il torrente Frodolfo, tra prati e pascoli ai piedi delle montagne.

Un itinerario perfetto per chi cerca una camminata semplice ma appagante, con la possibilità di sostare lungo il percorso per una pausa panoramica o un picnic tra i colori dell’autunno.

Nach Verlassen des Platzes führt der Weg durch das alte Dorf und zu der Straße, die zum Alpinen Botanischen Garten Rezia führt (ein kurzer Besuch lohnt sich), wo der Weg zur Pedemontana della Reit beginnt. Die Strecke ist bequem und fast eben, gut sonnenexponiert und auch an kälteren Oktobertagen perfekt. Beim Wandern durch harzduftende Wälder und Panorama-Wiesen eröffnet sich ein herrlicher Blick auf Bormio, Valdidentro und die Gipfel der Gruppe Cima Piazzi und Ortles-Cevedale.

Erreicht man die Ortschaft Uzza, führt der Weg sanft hinab zum kleinen ländlichen Dorf Teregua, wo die Zeit scheint zwischen alten Holzhütten und der malerischen Kapelle Santo Crocifisso stillzustehen. Von hier aus überquert man die Brücke über den Fluss Adda und kehrt entlang des Fahrrad- und Fußgängerwegs am Bach Frodolfo zurück nach Bormio, vorbei an Wiesen und Weiden am Fuße der Berge.

Eine perfekte Route für alle, die einen einfachen, aber lohnenden Spaziergang suchen, mit der Möglichkeit, unterwegs für eine Panorama-Pause oder ein Picknick in den Farben des Herbstes zu verweilen.
