By following this route you have the opportunity to discover the ancient paths used by the "spalloni", the smugglers who from long ago transported goods between Switzerland and Italy.

Start by car from Gordona. From here, take the road that climbs towards Val Bodengo (you need to get a pass, purchasable at the start of the climb at the village bars or online at valbodengo.shop). Upon reaching the parking lot at the end of the road (1635 m), leave the car and follow the signs marking the route to Alpe Notaro, where the namesake bivouac is located at about 1880 meters above sea level. Once at the bivouac, climb about another 200 meters in altitude until reaching 2,098 meters at the Bocchetta del Notaro.

Percorrendo questo itinerario si ha l’opportunità di scoprire gli antichi percorsi utilizzati dagli “spalloni”, i contrabbandieri che sin da epoche lontane trasportavano merci tra la Svizzera e l’Italia.

Si parte in auto da Gordona. Da qui si imbocca la carrozzabile che sale verso la Val Bodengo (serve munirsi del pass, acquistabile all’inizio della salita presso i bar del paese oppure online valbodengo.shop). Raggiunto il posteggio al termine della strada (1635 m) si lascia l’auto e si seguono le indicazioni che marcano l’itinerario verso l’Alpe Notaro, dove si trova l’omonimo bivacco a circa 1880 metri sul livello del mare. Raggiunto il bivacco si sale ancora per circa 200 metri di quota fino a raggiungere i 2.098 metri della Bocchetta del Notaro.

Start ist mit dem Auto in Gordona. Von dort aus nimmt man die Bergstraße, die ins Val Bodengo hinaufführt (erforderlich ist ein Pass, der am Anfang der Auffahrt in den Bars des Dorfes oder online auf valbodengo.shop gekauft werden kann). Am Parkplatz am Ende der Straße (1635 m) lässt du das Auto stehen und folgst den Wegweiser zum Alpe Notaro, wo sich die namensgebende Schutzhütte auf etwa 1880 Metern Höhe befindet. Nachdem man die Hütte erreicht hat, steigt man noch ca. 200 Meter auf bis zur Bocchetta del Notaro auf 2098 Metern Höhe.
