Document{{en=The hike starts from the beautiful village of Ambria where you can leave your car in a large parking lot. From here you continue on foot crossing the ancient settlement of Ambria, turn right near the church, and once you pass the last huts follow a steep path that leads to Alpe Care', a pasture no longer used. Then continue along the easy and obvious path up to the Venina stairs which lead us, on the left, in front of the homonymous dam; this first part of the route is undoubtedly the most tiring as most of the elevation gain is overcome in a rather short distance. Once you reach the dam wall, always staying on the left, continue along the edge of the artificial lake. From here onward the slope is much gentler and as you go up the valley you reach the various stations of Alpe Venina, Old Hut, then Dossello and finally Alpe Venina itself. At the bottom of the valley we reach the remains of the ancient smelting furnace, the destination of our hike, where the buildings that served as shelter for those who worked there are clearly visible. The view over the whole valley fully rewards the efforts made. For the return, follow the ascent route backwards., it=L'escursione parte dal bellissimo borgo di Ambria dove si puo' lasciare l'auto in un ampio parcheggio. Da qui si prosegue a piedi attraversando l'antico abitato di Ambria, si svolta a destra in prossimita' della chiesa, e una volta superate le ultime baite si segue un irto sentiero che porta all'Alpe Care', pascolo ormai non piu' caricato. Si prosegue quindi lungo il facile ed evidente sentiero fino alle scale del Venina che ci conducono, sulla sinistra, al cospetto dell'omonima diga; questa prima parte dell'itinerario e' senza dubbio la piu' faticosa perche' si supera la maggior parte del dislivello in una distanza piuttosto breve. Una volta raggiunto il muro della diga, stando sempre in sinistra, si prosegue costeggiando il lago artificiale. Da qui in avanti il pendio e' molto piu' dolce e man mano che si risale la valle si raggiungono le varie stazioni dell'Alpe Venina, Casera Vecchia, poi Dossello e infine l'Alpe Venina appunto. In fondo alla valle raggiungiamo i resti dell'antico forno fusore, meta della nostra escursione, dove sono ben visibili le abitazioni che servivano da riparo a coloro che vi lavoravano. La vista sull'intera vallata ripaga ampiamente degli sforzi compiuti..Per il ritorno si segue a ritroso la via di salita., de=Die Wanderung startet im wunderschönen Ort Ambria, wo das Auto auf einem großen Parkplatz geparkt werden kann. Von hier geht es zu Fuß weiter durch das alte Dorf Ambria, kurz vor der Kirche rechts abbiegen, und nach den letzten Hütten einem steilen Pfad folgen, der zur Alpe Care' führt, einer Weide, die nicht mehr bewirtschaftet wird. Danach folgt man weiter dem einfachen und deutlich sichtbaren Pfad bis zu den Venina-Treppen, die uns links zum namensgebenden Staudamm führen; dieser erste Teil der Route ist zweifellos der anstrengendste, da der größte Höhenunterschied auf einer relativ kurzen Strecke überwunden wird. Sobald der Staudamm erreicht ist, folgt man weiterhin links dem Weg entlang des künstlichen Sees. Ab hier ist der Hang deutlich sanfter und beim Aufstieg ins Tal erreicht man die verschiedenen Stationen der Alpe Venina: Casera Vecchia, dann Dossello und schließlich die Alpe Venina selbst. Am Talende erreicht man die Überreste des alten Schmelzofens, das Ziel unserer Wanderung, wo die Unterkünfte der Arbeiter gut sichtbar sind. Der Ausblick über das gesamte Tal entschädigt reichlich für die Mühen. Für den Rückweg folgt man dem Aufstiegsweg rückwärts.}}
