The construction dates back to the second half of the 12th century and was part of a complex system of sighting and signaling of possible invaders.Easily reached on foot, it is absolutely worth a visit if only for the splendid view it offers once you reach its summit.
The trail is well-marked and starts from the Boggia locality in Gordona, climbing up the slope, with a noteworthy gradient (it is possible to start the route from the Church Square in Gordona).
Gradually the path becomes gentler as you approach the ridge, limiting the view of the valley because of the birch thickets you pass along the way.The arrival at the summit holds an extraordinary surprise. The view runs from the mouth of the Spluga and Bregaglia valleys to the peak of Legnone overlooking Lake Como. From here, soldiers dominated the entire Valchiavenna, ready to signal with fires to nearby towers, the arrival of enemies from new territories. The tower can also be visited internally, and an equipped staircase, allows you to climb to its top.
It is worth considering a loop route that touches both approaches so as to fully appreciate the various interesting locations (e.g. Cà Pipeta)..

, it= Solitaria, in cima al poderoso sperone roccioso che sovrasta la sponda destra della vallata, tra Gordona e San Pietro di Samolaco, questa costruzione richiama l’attenzione di molti.La costruzione risale alla seconda metà del secolo XII e faceva parte di un complesso sistema di avvistamento e segnalazione di eventuali invasori.Facilmente raggiungibile a piedi, merita assolutamente una visita anche solo per la splendida vista che offre una volta raggiunta la sua sommità.
Il sentiero è ben segnalato e parte dalla località Boggia a Gordona, si arrampica sul versante, con una pendenza degna di nota (è possibile inziare il percorso dalla Piazza della Chiesa di Gordona).
Gradualmente il percorso diventa più dolce, mano a mano che ci si avvicina alla cresta, limitando la vista sulla vallata a causa delle selve di betulle che si attraversano lungo il cammino.L’arrivo in vetta riserva una sorpresa straordinaria. Lo sguardo corre dall’imbocco della Valle Spluga e della Bregaglia, fino alla vetta del Legnone che domina il Lago di Como. Da qui, i soldati dominavano l’intera Valchiavenna, pronti a segnalare con fuochi alle torri vicine, l’arrivo di nemici da nuovi territori. La torre è visitabile anche internamente e una scala attrezzata, permette di salire fino alla sua sommità.
E’ opportuno considerare un percorso ad anello che tocca entrambi gli accessi così da apprezzare pienamente le varie interessanti località (ad esempio Cà Pipeta)..

, de=Dieses Bauwerk steht einsam auf dem mächtigen Felsvorsprung, der die rechte Talseite zwischen Gordona und San Pietro di Samolaco beherrscht, und zieht die Aufmerksamkeit vieler Menschen auf sich.Das Bauwerk stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts und war Teil eines komplexen Systems zur Beobachtung und Signalisierung möglicher Eindringlinge. Es ist leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen und ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, allein schon wegen der herrlichen Aussicht, die sich einem bietet, sobald man den Gipfel erreicht hat.
Der gut ausgeschilderte Weg beginnt in der Ortschaft Boggia in Gordona und führt mit einer beachtlichen Steigung den Hang hinauf (man kann den Weg auch vom Kirchplatz in Gordona aus beginnen).
Allmählich wird der Weg sanfter, wenn man sich dem Kamm nähert, wobei die Aussicht auf das Tal durch die Birkenwälder, die man auf dem Weg passiert, eingeschränkt wird, und die Ankunft auf dem Gipfel birgt eine außergewöhnliche Überraschung. Der Blick reicht vom Eingang des Splugatals und des Bergells bis zum Gipfel von Legnone, der den Comer See beherrscht. Von hier aus beherrschten die Soldaten das gesamte Valchiavenna-Tal, bereit, die Ankunft von Feinden aus neuen Gebieten durch Feuer auf den nahe gelegenen Türmen zu signalisieren. Der Turm kann auch von innen besichtigt werden, und eine ausgestattete Treppe ermöglicht den Aufstieg bis zur Spitze.
Es ist ratsam, einen Rundweg zu wählen, der beide Zugänge berührt, um die verschiedenen interessanten Orte (z.B. Cà Pipeta) in vollem Umfang zu genießen.
