Document{{en=After passing the settlement of Agneda at about 1200 meters, you reach, at the bottom of the plateau, a rest area also used as a parking lot. You can continue further to Lake Scais but only with a permit and a four-wheel drive vehicle. The hike then begins on a comfortable carriage road that with a dense series of switchbacks takes us just below the wall of the Scais dam. From here, following the signs for trail no. 251, we cross the small bridge over the Caronno stream keeping to the left. Having reached the dam wall, you hike along its left side, first reaching the Scais Houses and, after a short elevation change through the woods, the Caronno Alp. Then you continue for the last stretch of the climb, the most tiring one, which takes us from 1600 meters to about 2000 meters at the Rifugio Mambretti. The path climbs through a beautiful larch forest. As you ascend, the tree vegetation gives way to the shrub vegetation typical of the high-mountain Orobie environment with junipers, rhododendrons, and blueberries. You then reach the refuge dedicated to Luigi Mambretti who passed away on Punta di Scais at only 27 years old in 1923., it=Superato l'abitato di Agneda a circa 1200 metri si raggiunge, in fondo al pianoro, un'area di sosta adibita anche a parcheggio. Si puo' proseguire oltre fino al lago di Scais ma solo con permesso e con macchina a 4 ruote motrici. L'escursione ha quindi inizio su una comoda carrozzabile che con una fitta serie di tornanti ci porta poco sotto al muro della diga di Scais. Da qui, seguendo le indicazioni per il sentiero n. 251, superiamo il ponticello sul torrente Caronno tenendoci sulla sinistra. Raggiunto il muro della diga, la si costeggia in sinistra raggiungendo prima le Case di Scais e, superato un breve dislivello nel bosco, l'Alpe Caronno. Si prosegue quindi per l'ultimo tratto di salita, quello piu' faticoso, che dai 1600 metri ci porta a circa 2000 metri al Rifugio Mambretti. Il sentiero si inerpica lungo un bel bosco di Larice. Man mano che si sale la vegetazione arborea lascia spazio a quella arbustiva tipica dell'ambiente altimontano orobico con ginepri, rododendri e mirtilli. Si raggiunge quindi il Rifugio dedicato a Luigi Mambretti scomparso sulla Punta di Scais a soli 27 anni nel 1923, de=Nachdem man den Ort Agneda auf etwa 1200 Metern passiert hat, erreicht man am Ende der Ebene einen Rastplatz, der auch als Parkplatz dient. Man kann bis zum Lago di Scais weiterfahren, allerdings nur mit Genehmigung und einem Allradfahrzeug. Die Wanderung beginnt also auf einer bequemen Forststraße, die mit einer dichten Reihe von Serpentinen knapp unterhalb der Staumauer von Scais hinaufführt. Von hier aus folgen wir den Markierungen des Weges Nr. 251, überqueren die kleine Brücke über den Caronno-Bach und halten uns links. Hat man die Staumauer erreicht, folgt man dieser auf der linken Seite und erreicht zuerst die Case di Scais und nach einem kurzen Höhenunterschied im Wald die Alpe Caronno. Dann geht es weiter auf dem letzten Abschnitt des Anstiegs, dem anstrengendsten Teil, der uns von 1600 Metern auf etwa 2000 Meter zum Rifugio Mambretti bringt. Der Weg schlängelt sich durch einen schönen Lärchenwald. Nach und nach weicht die Baumbewachsung der typisch alpenhochalpinen Strauchvegetation mit Wacholder, Rhododendren und Heidelbeeren. So erreicht man die Schutzhütte, die Luigi Mambretti gewidmet ist, der 1923 mit nur 27 Jahren an der Punta di Scais verunglückte.}}
