The route is a pleasant walk in the Pian di Spagna, a small plain of great importance and naturalistic value, a migratory avifaunal corridor between Northern Europe and Africa.

The easy route follows the dirt road through the northern Reserve toward the shores of Mezzola and Dascio lakes: cultivated fields, meadows, sedge and reed beds. The biodiversity is really varied and rich and it is possible to observe - along the way - typical flora and fauna such as frogs and toads, swans, foxes and deer. The intermediate stop - with picnic area - is Cascina Poncetta, a rustic farmhouse restored to an educational center.

The loop trail has the railway station of Nuova Olonio (Municipality of Dubino) with convenient pedestrian underpass as its starting and ending point.

Il percorso è una piacevole passeggiata nel Pian di Spagna, una piccola pianura di grande importanza e valore naturalistico, corridoio migratorio avifaunistico tra Nord Europa e Africa.

Il facile itinerario segue la strada sterrata che attraversa la Riserva settentrionale verso le rive dei laghi di Mezzola e di Dascio: campi coltivati, prati, cariceti e canneti. La biodiversità è davvero varia e ricca ed è possibile osservare - lungo il percorso - la flora e la fauna tipica come rane e rospi, cigni, volpi e cervi. La tappa intermedia - con area picnic - è la Cascina Poncetta, un rustico restaurato a centro didattico.

Il percorso ad anello ha come punto di partenza e di arrivo la stazione ferroviaria di Nuova Olonio (Comune di Dubino) con comodo sottopasso pedonale.

Die Route ist ein angenehmer Spaziergang im Pian di Spagna, einer kleinen Ebene von großer Bedeutung und naturalistischem Wert, ein Korridor für Zugvögel zwischen Nordeuropa und Afrika.

Die einfache Route führt über einen unbefestigten Weg durch das nördliche Naturschutzgebiet zu den Ufern der Seen Mezzola und Dascio: bewirtschaftete Felder, Wiesen, Seggen- und Schilfbestände. Die Artenvielfalt ist wirklich vielfältig und reichhaltig, und es ist möglich, entlang des Weges typische Tiere und Pflanzen wie Frösche und Kröten, Schwäne, Füchse und Rehe zu beobachten. Die Zwischenstation - mit Picknickplatz - ist die Cascina Poncetta, ein rustikales Bauernhaus, das als Bildungszentrum restauriert wurde.

Start- und Zielpunkt des Rundwegs ist der Bahnhof Nuova Olonio (Gemeinde Dubino) mit einer bequemen Fußgängerunterführung.
