Alternatively, one can drive to the village of Donadivo (737 m). From here on foot in three hours you will reach your destination.

A third opportunity is provided by the Orlo alp (1165 m) reachable by car, gaining about an hour's walk, at the expense, however, of losing the pleasure of walking along the jewel of a mule track, along the "Benefactor's Path," which passes through a beautiful beech forest and leads to the alp.

Among meadows, stones, rhododendrons and in the larch forest you look at the summit. Through large pastures following the markers you reach a small bridge and a little further on, past some rocky crags, the Lavorerio house/shelter (1862 m).

The building is divided into two parts: the southern one is used for agricultural activities, while the northern side is used as a dwelling/shelter with the purpose of promoting and enhancing the Lavorerio alp and the whole valley. Today this building is made available to organizations and associations, interested in spending a vacation stay here, fully enjoying the magnificent landscapes.From the refuge there is a regenerating view of the entire valley. Clearly visible to the east are the glades of Cermine and Orlo and in the background Pizzo di Prata, the peaks of Masino, Codera and Engadine.

The refuge is not managed. It is therefore necessary to pick up the keys and purchase a transit permit at the San Martino bar in Gordona or online by clicking here

The rest of the alp is surrounded by impressive crags at first grassy, then rocky to the northwest. Magnificent are the granite slabs to the south.

It should be considered that beyond the hut, the trail is less obvious and the markings are much rarer, so it is necessary to be equipped with a map and adequate orientation skills.

Una terza opportunità è data dall’alpe Orlo (1165 m) raggiungibile in auto, guadagnando circa un’ora di cammino, a discapito però di perdere il piacere di percorrere il gioiello di mulattiera, lungo il “Sentiero del Benefattore”, che attraversa un bel bosco di faggi e conduce all’alpe.

Tra prati, pietre, rododendri e nel bosco di larici si guardagna la sommità. Per grandi pascoli seguendo i segnavia si raggiunge un ponticello e poco oltre, superate alcune balze rocciose, la casa/rifugio Lavorerio (1862 m).

Lo stabile è diviso in due parti: quella a sud è adibita alle attività agricole, mentre il lato nord è utilizzata come abitazione/rifugio con il proposito di promuovere e valorizzare l’alpe Lavorerio e tutta la vallata. Oggi questo stabile è messo a disposizone di enti e associazioni, interessate a trascorrere qui un soggiorno di vacanza, godendo appieno dei magnifici paesaggi.Dal rifugio si gode di una rigenerante vista su tutta la valle. Ben visibili a est le radure di Cermine e Orlo e sullo sfondo il Pizzo di Prata, le vette del Masino, Codera ed Engadina.

Il resto dell’alpe è circondato da imponenti balze dapprima prative, poi rocciose a nord-ovest. Magnifiche le placche di granito a sud.

Occorre considerare che oltre il rifugio, il sentiero è meno evidente e i segnavia sono molto più rari, necessita quindi essere dotati di cartina e adeguate capacità di orientamento.

Alternativ kann man auch nach Donadivo (737 m) fahren. Von hier aus ist man in drei Stunden zu Fuß am Ziel.

Eine dritte Möglichkeit bietet die Orlo-Alm (1165 m), die man mit dem Auto in etwa einer Auer erreichen kann, allerdings auf Kosten des Vergnügens, auf dem Juwel eines Saumpfades, dem "Sentiero del Benefattore", zu wandern, der durch einen schönen Buchenwald zur Alm führt.

Über Wiesen, Steine, Rhododendren und durch einen Lärchenwald erreicht man den Gipfel. Über weite Weiden, den Wegweisern folgend, erreicht man eine kleine Brücke und etwas weiter, vorbei an einigen Felsen, das Haus/Hütte Lavorerio (1862 m).

Das Gebäude ist in zwei Teile geteilt: Die Südseite wird für landwirtschaftliche Aktivitäten genutzt, während die Nordseite als Wohn- und Schutzraum dient, um die Lavorerio-Alm und das gesamte Tal zu fördern und aufzuwerten. Heute wird das Gebäude Organisationen und Vereinen zur Verfügung gestellt, die hier ihren Urlaub verbringen und die herrliche Landschaft genießen möchten. Von der Hütte aus bietet sich ein erholsamer Blick auf das gesamte Tal. Deutlich sichtbar sind im Osten die Lichtungen von Cermine und Orlo und im Hintergrund der Pizzo di Prata, die Gipfel von Masino, Codera und Engadin.

Die Hütte ist nicht bewirtschaftet. Es ist daher notwendig, die Schlüssel abzuholen und die Transitgenehmigung in der Bar San Martino in Gordona oder online zu kaufen, indem Sie hier klicken

Der Rest der Alp ist von imposanten Felsen umgeben, die zuerst grasbewachsen sind und dann im Nordwesten in Felsen übergehen. Wunderschön sind die Granitplatten im Süden.

Es ist zu bedenken, dass jenseits der Hütte der Weg nicht mehr so gut erkennbar ist und die Wegweiser viel seltener sind, so dass man mit einer Karte und einem guten Orientierungsvermögen ausgestattet sein sollte.
