Il territorio e' ora pianeggiante e comodi percorsi costeggiano il torrente Viola, permettendo a tutti agevoli passeggiate in un contesto naturale, molto silenzioso e isolato dal traffico, con gruppi di baite tipiche. Quest'area era anticamente caratterizzata da attivita' produttive, con la presenza di uno dei piu' antichi forni del ferro di cui ci sia testimonianza., de=Von der Kirche San Carlo fährt man 200 m auf der Staatsstraße von Livigno weiter und steigt links auf dem Weg N209 bis zur Brücke über den Al ab. Der Abstieg ist ziemlich steil, aber in kurzer Zeit erreicht man das Tal. Das Gebiet ist nun eben, und bequeme Wege verlaufen entlang des Torrente Viola, die allen leichte Spaziergänge in einer natürlichen, sehr ruhigen und verkehrsfernen Umgebung mit typischen Berghütten ermöglichen. Dieses Gebiet war früher durch produktive Tätigkeiten geprägt, unter anderem war hier einer der ältesten Eisenöfen, von dem es Belege gibt.}}
