Der erste Abschnitt führt durch einen dichten Tannenwald und, nachdem man die Hütten in der Ortschaft Campello passiert hat, erreicht man Campaccio. Von hier verläuft die Route links entlang des Weges N 208 hinunter bis zur Alpe Zandilla. Im Sommer beherbergt die kommunale Alp verschiedene Vieharten, hauptsächlich Kühe und Pferde, und auf den Weiden kann man verschiedene Heilpflanzen finden, darunter die Achillea moscata, die in Alta Valtellina häufig zur Herstellung eines typischen Verdauungstrunks verwendet wird.
