A 21 km stage that does not present particular technical difficulties but requires adequate training due to its length. The route starts near Rifugio Forni and ends at the Fantelle Parking lot in Madonna dei Monti. Initially, you take the dirt road towards Rifugio Branca and at the fork turn towards Malga dei Forni; continue towards the Girella bridge until reaching the dirt road leading to Rifugio Pizzini. A charming landscape and the whistling of marmots will accompany you. We descend for a short stretch on the paved road and then take the mostly flat S257 trail to the right, which crosses the Confinale mountain passing through the small settlements of Raseit, Ablés, and Malga Confinale. The route continues to the Ables mountains, where you can stop at the homonymous farmhouse, the Confinale mountain farm, and finally reach the Cavallaro huts. Upon arrival here, after a wide panoramic view of the Bormio basin, the descent begins to the entrance of Val Zebrù, then concluding the stage at the Fantelle parking lot, in the Madonna dei Monti hamlet.

Una tappa di 21 km che non presenta particolari difficoltà tecniche ma che richiede un adeguato allenamento per la sua lunghezza. Si parte nei pressi del Rifugio Forni e si arriva al Parcheggio di Fantelle a Madonna dei Monti. Inizialmente si prende la sterrata verso il rifugio Branca e al bivio si svolta verso la Malga dei Forni, si prosegue verso il ponte della Girella fino a raggiungere la sterrata che porta al Rifugio Pizzini. Un incantevole paesaggio e il fischiare delle marmotte vi farà compagnia. Scendiamo per un breve tratto sulla carrozzabile per poi imboccare sulla destra il sentiero prevalentemente pianeggiante S257 che attraversa la montagna del Confinale passando per i piccoli nuclei di Raseit, Ablés e Malga Confinale. Si prosegue fino ai monti Ables, dove si può sostare presso l’omonimo agriturismo, la malga di Confinale fino ad arrivare alle Baite di Cavallaro. Arrivati qui, dopo un ampio sguardo panoramico sulla conca di Bormio, inizia la discesa sino all'imbocco della Val Zebrù per poi concludere la tappa al parcheggio di Fantelle, nella frazione di Madonna dei Monti.

Eine Etappe von 21 km, die keine besonderen technischen Schwierigkeiten aufweist, jedoch eine angemessene Kondition wegen ihrer Länge erfordert. Der Start ist in der Nähe der Rifugio Forni und das Ziel ist der Parkplatz Fantelle in Madonna dei Monti. Zunächst folgt man der Schotterstraße in Richtung Rifugio Branca und biegt an der Weggabelung zum Malga dei Forni ab, dann geht es weiter zur Brücke von Girella, bis man die Schotterstraße erreicht, die zur Rifugio Pizzini führt. Eine bezaubernde Landschaft und das Pfeifen der Murmeltiere werden dich begleiten. Wir steigen für einen kurzen Abschnitt auf der Straße ab, um dann rechts den überwiegend ebenen Weg S257 zu nehmen, der den Berg Confinale durchquert und an den kleinen Ansiedlungen Raseit, Ables und Malga Confinale vorbeiführt. Anschließend geht es weiter bis zu den Bergen Ables, wo man beim gleichnamigen Agriturismo Rast machen kann, zur Malga di Confinale, bis man zu den Hütten von Cavallaro gelangt. Dort angekommen, beginnt nach einem weiten Panorama über das Becken von Bormio der Abstieg bis zum Eingang des Val Zebrù, um dann die Etappe am Parkplatz von Fantelle im Ortsteil Madonna dei Monti zu beenden.
