Start near the turnoff for the Paradiso refuge in Plaghera and follow the quiet Gavia road that climbs with little incline immersed in a beautiful forest of firs, larches and stone pines. As the forest thins out you can admire the grandeur of the western slope of Pizzo Tresero. After a hairpin bend the road goes to skirt the ski slopes (At this point it is also possible to climb directly from the arrival of the Plaghera chairlift, passing to the left of the lift) and then enter halfway up the mountainside to the left to Ponte dell'Alpe (2289 m) Here we find ourselves at the base of the bristling northern slopes of the Cime di Gavia where it is not uncommon to observe some solitary chamois. Past the bridge the road continues halfway up the mountainside, skirting also the Alpe di Gavia (2473 m). On the left we can admire the unmistakable pyramid of Pizzo dei 3 Signori arriving in sight of the Berni refuge (2545 m). From here climb to the right up a steep section to a flatter area, then follow an obvious little valley to the southwest. Then skirt a short slope thus entering a wider gully. Follow it then taking the right in the final stage thus arriving briefly at the summit. The panorama that can be seen is immense; the whole basin of the southern slope of M.Sobretta to Gran Zebru' arriving then at San Matteo. Toward the south in the distance the Adamello group.

Si parte in prossimita' della deviazione per il rifugio Paradiso a Plaghera e si va a seguire la tranquilla strada del Gavia che sale con poca pendenza immersa in un bellissimo bosco di abeti, larici e pini cembri. Al diradarsi del bosco si ammira l'imponenza del versante occidentale del Pizzo Tresero. Dopo un tornante la strada va a lambire le piste da sci (In questo punto e' possibile salire direttamente anche dall'arrivo della seggiovia di Plaghera, passando a sinistra dell'impianto di risalita) per poi entrare a mezza costa verso sinistra fino al Ponte dell'Alpe (2289 m) Qui ci troviamo alla base delle irte pendici settentrionali delle Cime di Gavia dove non e' raro osservare qualche camoscio solitario. Oltrepassato il ponte la strada continua sempre a mezza costa costeggiando anche l'Alpe di Gavia (2473 m). Sulla sinistra possiamo ammirare l'inconfondibile piramide del Pizzo dei 3 Signori arrivando in vista del rifugio Berni (2545 m). Da qui salire verso destra su un tratto ripido, fino ad una zona piu' pianeggiante, per poi seguire un'evidente valletta verso sud-ovest. Costeggiare poi un breve pendio entrando cosi' in un piu' ampio vallone. Lo si segue portandosi poi sulla destra nella fase finale arrivando cosi' brevemente in vetta. Il panorama che si puo' osservare e' immenso; tutta la conca del versante sud del M.Sobretta al Gran Zebru' arrivando poi al San Matteo. Verso sud in lontananza il gruppo dell'Adamello.

Wir starten in der Nähe der Abzweigung zur Paradiso-Hütte in Plaghera und folgen der ruhigen Gavia-Straße, die mit geringer Steigung durch einen schönen Wald aus Tannen, Lärchen und Zirbelkiefern ansteigt. Wenn der Wald lichter wird, kann man den imposanten Westhang des Pizzo Tresero bewundern. Nach einer Haarnadelkurve führt die Straße an den Skipisten vorbei (an dieser Stelle kann man auch direkt von der Ankunftsstelle des Sessellifts Plaghera aufsteigen, indem man links am Skilift vorbeigeht) und führt dann auf halber Höhe links den Hang hinauf bis nach Ponte dell'Alpe (2289 m). Hier befindet man sich am Fuße der zerklüfteten Nordhänge der Cime di Gavia, wo man nicht selten einige einsame Gämsen beobachten kann. Hinter der Brücke führt die Straße auf halber Höhe am Berghang entlang und umgeht die Alpe di Gavia (2473 m). Auf der linken Seite können wir die unverwechselbare Pyramide des Pizzo dei 3 Signori bewundern und kommen in Sichtweite der Berni-Hütte (2545 m). Von hier aus steigt man ein steiles Stück nach rechts zu einem flacheren Bereich hinauf und folgt dann einem deutlichen kleinen Tal nach Südwesten. Dann umgeht man einen kurzen Hang und gelangt in ein breiteres Tal. Diesem folgt man und biegt in der letzten Phase nach rechts ab, um kurz darauf den Gipfel zu erreichen. Das Panorama, das sich hier bietet, ist gewaltig: das gesamte Becken des Südhangs des M. Sobretta bis zum Gran Zebru' und weiter bis nach San Matteo. Im Süden, in der Ferne, die Adamello-Gruppe.
