From Forni Forni follow the easy mule track that initially climbs two steep switchbacks; then to the right it becomes flatter and, having bypassed the ridge that leads into Val Cedec, continue halfway up until it reaches the Pizzini refuge. A trail is always present, but in any case the path is very simple and evident. Now continue north, without an obligatory path, in the direction of the evident rocky island at the base of the southern wall of Gran Zebru' and contour around it passing it on the left, thus entering the Gran Zebru' vedretta. At the base of the imposing south face of Gran Zebru' you bend to the left going in the logical direction of the Colle delle Pale Rosse placed at 3363m altitude. When you reach the final section you deviate slightly to the right, arriving shortly at the col.

Dai Forni Forni si segue la comoda mulattiera che inizialmente sale per due ripidi tornanti; poi verso destra si fa piu' pianeggiante e aggirata la dorsale che immette in Val Cedec, si continua a mezzacosta fino a raggiunge il rifugio Pizzini. E' sempre presente una traccia ma comunque il percorso e' molto semplice ed evidente. Si continua ora verso nord, senza un percorso obbligato, in direzione dell'evidente isola rocciosa che si trova alla base della parete meridionale del Gran Zebru' e la si contorna passandola sulla sinistra, entrando cosi' sulla vedretta del Gran Zebru'. Alla base dell'imponente parete sud del Gran Zebru' si piega verso sinistra andando verso la direzione logica del Colle delle Pale Rosse posto a 3363m di quota. Arrivati in prossimita' del tratto finale si devia leggermente a destra arrivando in breve al colle.

Von Forni Forni aus folgt man dem einfachen Saumpfad, der zunächst in zwei steilen Kehren ansteigt, dann nach rechts flacher wird und nach Umgehung des Grats, der ins Val Cedec führt, am Hang entlang bis zur Pizzini-Hütte führt. Es gibt immer einen Weg, aber der Weg ist auf jeden Fall sehr einfach und offensichtlich. Nun geht es weiter nach Norden, ohne obligatorische Route, in Richtung der offensichtlichen Felseninsel am Fuße der Südwand des Gran Zebru', die man links umgeht und so in die Vedretta des Gran Zebru' gelangt. Am Fuße der imposanten Südwand des Gran Zebru' biegt man links ab und geht in logischer Weise in Richtung des Colle delle Pale Rosse auf 3363 m Höhe. Auf dem letzten Stück biegt man leicht nach rechts ab und erreicht bald den Sattel.
