Upstream of the Stelvio Pass cable car in a southeasterly direction, start climbing the ski slope, staying appropriately on the edges. Arriving at the locality of Nagler, at the arrival of the first trunk of the cable car and where there are a couple of hotel facilities, you enter the Vedretta Piana glacier and continue in the direction of Monte Livrio, where you will also find the refuge of the same name. Passing near the ski lift that goes up to Punta degli Spiriti, you descend to the left arriving on the Vedretta del Madaccio. Gradually bear left toward Madaccio di Mezzo and climb a steep slope passing to the left of an obvious rocky block emerging from the glacier. When the slopes decrease you continue for a stretch in the direction of Tuckett Pass and then turn right going up the obvious north edge of the mountain. The last steeper section is tackled with several switchbacks until arriving just below the summit; here, depending on snow conditions, it may be advisable to remove the skis, thus reaching the summit.
, it=A monte della funivia del Passo dello Stelvio in direzione sud-est, si inizia a salire la pista da sci stando opportunamente ai bordi. Arrivati alla localita' Nagler, all'arrivo del primo tronco della funivia e dove ci sono un paio di strutture alberghiere, si entra sul ghiacciaio della Vedretta Piana e si prosegue in direzione del Monte Livrio dove si trova anche l'omonimo rifugio. Passando in prossimita' della sciovia che sale verso la Punta degli Spiriti, si scende verso sinistra arrivando sulla Vedretta del Madaccio. Gradualmente ci si porta verso sinistra in direzione del Madaccio di Mezzo e si risale un pendio ripido passando a sinistra di un evidente blocco roccioso che emerge dal ghiacciaio. Quando le pendenze diminuiscono si continua per un tratto in direzione del Passo di Tuckett per poi girare a destra andando a salire l'evidente spigolo nord della montagna. L'ultimo tratto piu' ripido lo si affronta con vari dietro front fino ad arrivare poco sotto la cima; qui in base alle condizioni della neve puo' essere opportuno togliere gli sci arrivando cosi' in vetta., de=Von der Seilbahn am Stilfserjoch in südöstlicher Richtung aufsteigend, beginnt man die Skipiste zu befahren, wobei man sich an der Kante hält. In der Ortschaft Nagler, wo die erste Sektion der Seilbahn ankommt und sich einige Hotels befinden, erreicht man den Gletscher Vedretta Piana und fährt weiter in Richtung Monte Livrio, wo sich auch die gleichnamige Hütte befindet. In der Nähe des Skilifts, der zur Punta degli Spiriti hinaufführt, geht man links hinunter und kommt auf die Vedretta del Madaccio. Nach und nach geht man links in Richtung Madaccio di Mezzo und steigt einen steilen Hang hinauf, wobei man links an einem deutlichen Felsblock vorbeikommt, der aus dem Gletscher herausragt. Wenn die Steigung nachlässt, geht man ein Stück in Richtung Tuckett-Pass weiter und biegt dann rechts ab, um die deutliche Nordkante des Berges zu erklimmen. Der letzte, steilere Abschnitt führt über mehrere Kehren bis kurz unter den Gipfel; hier kann es je nach Schneeverhältnissen ratsam sein, die Skier abzunehmen und so den Gipfel zu erreichen.
