1516 mDocument{{en=The start is from a wide hairpin turn to the left on the Gavia country road SP29 just before the Ponte dell'Alpe notice board with map and indications sign Way n. 519 2290 m, where you take the dirt road to the right. You begin the rather challenging climb up to Passo dell'Alpe 2460 m. The two tracks sign Way n. 519 coming down from Rifugio Sunny Valley 2640 m situated under Costa Sobretta join from the right here on the Pass, close to the finish line of Santa Caterina Valfurva ski runs. From here on the descent begins: on a trail at first and then on a dirt road passing past Clevaccio mountain huts 2140 m and after some steep switchbacks through the middle flat part of the valley in San Bernardo. Rifugio La Baita is here at 1860 m above the little church. The steep dirt road continues to the car park in Fontanaccia 1500 m, where the paved stretch begins heading for Fumero 1450 m and then straight for the valley bottom in Le Prese 950 m. Si parte in corrispondenza di un ampio tornante verso sinistra della Strada Provinciale del Ga via posto prima del Ponte dell'Alpe tabellone con mappa e indicazioni segnavia n. 519 2290 m e si prende la sterrata di destra. Si sale pedalando faticosamente fino al Passo dell'Alpe 2460 m. Poco prima e proprio sul colle si congiungono da destra i due tracciati segna via n. 519 che scendono dal rifugio Sunny Valley 2640 m posto sotto la Costa Sobretta in prossimita dell'arrivo degli impianti sciistici di Santa Caterina. Da qui e tutta discesa: prima su sentiero poi su sterrata passando dalle baite di Clevaccio 2140 m e, dopo alcuni ripidi tornanti, dal pianoro centrale della valle a San Bernardo. Qui, poco sopra la chiesetta, si trova il Rifugio La Baita a 1860 metri di quota. La sterata prosegue ripida fino al Parcheggio di Fontanaccia 1500 m dove inizia l'asfalto che porta prima a Fumero 1450 m e poi verso il fondo valle in localita Le Prese 950 m. Questo stesso itinerario e percorribile anche in senso inverso da Le Prese in direzione Santa Caterina Valfurva, diventando fisicamente piu impegnativo.
, de=Start ist bei einer weiten Linkskehre der Provinzstrasse des Gaviapasses SP29 vor der Brucke Ponte dell'Alpe Tafel mit Karte und Hinweisen Markierung Nr. 519 2290 m und man nimmt den Schotterweg nach rechts auf. Man radelt mit Anstrengung bis zum Passo dell'Alpe hinauf 2460 m. Kurz zuvor und dann genau auf der Passhohe vereinigen sich von rechts kommend die beiden Wege Markierung Nr. 519, die von der Sunny Val ley Hutte 2640 m herabkommen, die unterhalb von Costa Sobretta liegt, in der Nahe der Bergstation der Aufstiegsanlagen von Santa Caterina Valfurva. Von hier geht es nur noch talwarts: zuerst auf einem Bergpfad und dann auf einem Schotterweg, vorbei an den Almhutten von Clevaccio 2140 m und dann, nach einigen steilen Kehren, radelt man uber die mittlere Hochebene des Tals bis San Bernardo. Dort liegt oberhalb eines kleinen Kirchleins die Berghutte La Baita 1860 m. Der Schotterweg fuhrt steil weiter bis zum Parkplatz von Fontanaccia 1500 m, wo die Teerstrasse beginnt, die nach Fumero 1450 m und dann zur Talsohle nach Le Prese verlauft 950 m. Diese Route kann auch in umgekehrter Richtung von Le Prese nach Santa Caterina Valfurva befahren werden, was aber wesentlich anstrengender ist.}}
