Document{{en=THE CLIMB From Grosio Weigh station parking (by car or by bike). The climb from Grosio is never steep, but very long (15,5 Km from Grosio to eita), that's why the most suitable solution would be driving to eita (mandatory toll from Fusino to eita, cost: 3. Automatic toll dispenser in the Fusino's Church Square). In the middle of the town take on the left the asphalt road to Ravoledo and then to Fusino. Keep on climbing, still on asphalt road, through the eastern Grosina Valley till you get to village eita. (Average time 2 h). From Eita Curch parking From Eita (1.697 m height) a 40 minutes dirt road ride brings to baite Redasco. here turn towards (sign step 1) the very long section which goes through the whole upper valley until you reach Cigoz (sign step 2). Ride a little more further on a dirt Itinerario Five Crazy Down road until you reach 2.020 m height by a junction with an old military road. THE DESCENT From Cigoz to Grosio 8,7 km 1.372 m The first section of the military road is remarkable, part in the wood and part through amazing alpine pastures. The military road ends at Poda. From here ride to S. Giacomo on a steep but pretty large trail, where you find a paved mule track which ends at Ravoledo. A dirt road brings you back to Grosio., it=

LA SALITA

Da Grosio Parcheggio Pesa pubblica (in auto o in bici). La salita, con partenza da Grosio, anche se priva di forti pendenze e' molto lunga (15,5 km fino a Eita). A meta' del paese si prende sulla sinistra la strada asfaltata che porta a Ravoledo e poi a Fusino. Si prosegue per la Val Grosina orientale fino a raggiungere Eita sempre su asfalto (tempo di salita: ore 2). Da Eita Parcheggio Chiesa da Eita (1697 m) si sale fino alle Baite Redasco pedalando per circa 40 minuti su strada sterrata. Qui si imbocca sulla destra (cartello step 1) il lunghissimo tratto che attraversa in quota tutta la valle e ci porta fino a Cigoz (cartello step 2). Si pedala ancora per un breve tratto fino a quota 2020 m dove si incrocia una strada militare.

LA DISCESA

Da Cigoz a Grosio 8,7 km 1372 m. Tutta la prima parte della discesa e' sulla splendida strada militare con molti divertenti tornanti. Si alternano tratti nel bosco e negli alpeggi arrampicati sulla costa della montagna. La militare finisce alla localita' Poda. Da qui un ripido ma largo sentiero porta a San Giacomo dove inizia la mulattiera lastricata fino a Ravoledo. Una sterrata conclude il percorso a Grosio.

DER AUFSTIEG

Vom öffentlichen Parkplatz in Grosio (mit dem Auto oder Fahrrad). Der Anstieg von Grosio aus ist zwar steigungsfrei, aber sehr lang (15,5 km bis Eita). Auf halbem Weg durch das Dorf nimmt man die asphaltierte Straße links, die nach Ravoledo und dann nach Fusino führt. Weiter geht es durch das östliche Grosina-Tal bis nach Eita, immer noch auf Asphalt (Aufstiegszeit: 2 Stunden). Vom Parkplatz der Kirche von Eita (1697 m) steigt man auf einer Schotterstraße etwa 40 Minuten lang zu den Redasco-Hütten auf. Hier biegen wir rechts ab (Wegweiser Stufe 1) auf die sehr lange Strecke, die das gesamte Tal auf der Höhe durchquert und uns nach Cigoz führt (Wegweiser Stufe 2). Wir fahren noch ein kurzes Stück weiter, bis wir auf einer Höhe von 2020 m eine Militärstraße überqueren.

DER ABSTIEG

Von Cigoz nach Grosio 8,7 km 1372 m. Der gesamte erste Teil der Abfahrt verläuft auf der herrlichen Militärstraße mit vielen angenehmen Kehren. Es gibt abwechselnd Abschnitte im Wald und auf den Almen, die sich an den Berghang schmiegen. Die Militärstraße endet in der Ortschaft Poda. Von hier aus führt ein steiler, aber breiter Weg nach San Giacomo, wo der asphaltierte Saumpfad nach Ravoledo beginnt. Ein unbefestigter Weg beendet die Route in Grosio.
