In a varied landscape context, between watercourses and broadleaf forests, the route crosses fields, apple orchards and vineyards, chestnut groves and ancient terraces. But it is the castles, towers, and churches that follow one another along the way that give a distinctive character to this itinerary. Starting from the Tirano Bus Station, you first gently climb along the valley floor cycle path, with slopes becoming steeper near the Vione tower (short S3 uphill section).

Between dirt roads and fast single-tracks, the ride continues to Grosio, where the Visconti Castle, the Rock Engraving Park, and the San Faustino Castle offer great opportunities for a refreshing break. Rest areas are also present along the route, for those wanting to explore the territory from a culinary point of view. Upon reaching the turnaround point, you move to the left bank of the Adda river, to face ups and downs on fun trails up to the Pedenale tower and Bellaguarda Castle. Then you continue downhill, encountering a short technical section (S3) easily managed by pushing the bike.

Then you climb towards the Sernio tower and, after a long traverse through the forest, you reach the rewarding final descent (S3) that leads back to Tirano passing by the Santa Maria Castle, called Castellaccio. Thanks to the favorable exposure and the moderate elevations reached (max 720 m), the Trail is suitable for all seasons, except perhaps for the coldest months and the central hours of hot summer days. The route is fully supported by vertical signage (red arrows), information boards, and horizontal signage with white and red trail marker flags, and requires adequate technical riding skills (medium difficulty S1).

Clockwise direction is recommended.

In un contesto paesaggistico variegato, fra corsi d’acqua e boschi di latifoglie, il tracciato attraversa coltivi, meleti e vigneti, castagneti e antichi terrazzamenti. Ma sono i castelli, le torri e le chiese che si susseguono lungo la via a dare carattere distintivo a questo itinerario. Partendo dalla Stazione degli Autobus di Tirano, si sale dapprima dolcemente lungo la pista ciclabile di fondovalle, con pendenze che si fanno più impegnative nei pressi della torre di Vione (breve tratto S3 in salita).

Tra sterrate e veloci single-track si prosegue fino a Grosio, dove il Castello Visconteo, il Parco delle incisioni rupestri e il Castello di San Faustino offrono ottimi spunti per una pausa ristoratrice. Non mancano del resto ristori lungo l’itinerario, per chi volesse esplorare il territorio anche dal punto di vista culinario. Giunti al giro di boa, ci si porta sulla sponda sinistra del fiume Adda, per affrontare tratti in saliscendi su divertenti sentieri fino alla torre di Pedenale e al Castello di Bellaguarda. Si continua poi in discesa, incontrando un breve tratto tecnico (S3) risolvibile facilmente con bici al fianco.

Si sale quindi verso la torre di Sernio e, dopo un lungo traverso nel bosco, si raggiunge l’appagante discesa finale (S3) che riporta a Tirano passando per il Castello di Santa Maria, detto Castellaccio. Grazie all'esposizione favorevole e alle quote moderate raggiunte (max 720 m), il Sentiero è adatto a tutte le stagioni, ad eccezione forse dei mesi più freddi e delle ore centrali delle calde giornate estive.Il tracciato è interamente supportato da segnaletica verticale (frecce rosse), bacheche informative e dalla segnaletica orizzontale con bandierina segnavia biancorossa e richiede capacità di guida tecnica adeguata (difficoltà media S1).

È consigliata la percorrenza in senso orario.

In einer abwechslungsreichen Landschaft zwischen Wasserläufen und Laubwäldern verläuft die Strecke durch Ackerland, Apfelplantagen und Weinberge, Kastanienhaine und alte Terrassen. Besonders prägen aber die Burgen, Türme und Kirchen entlang des Weges diese Route. Ausgehend vom Busbahnhof in Tirano führt die Strecke zunächst sanft ansteigend entlang des Talradwegs, wobei die Steigungen in der Nähe des Vione-Turms etwas steiler werden (kurzer Abschnitt S3 bergauf).

Über Schotterwege und schnelle Singletrails geht es weiter bis nach Grosio, wo das Visconti-Schloss, der Felsritzungen-Park und die Burg San Faustino hervorragende Orte für eine erholsame Pause bieten. Entlang der Route gibt es zudem Einkehrmöglichkeiten für alle, die das Gebiet auch kulinarisch erkunden möchten. Am Wendepunkt verläuft die Strecke am linken Ufer des Adda-Flusses entlang, wo abwechslungsreiche Auf- und Abfahrten über vergnügliche Pfade bis zum Pedenale-Turm und zur Burg Bellaguarda führen. Danach geht es bergab, wobei ein kurzer technischer Abschnitt (S3) leicht mit dem Fahrrad an der Seite bewältigt werden kann.

Es folgt der Anstieg zum Sernio-Turm und nach einem langen Querweg durch den Wald erreicht man die lohnende Schlussabfahrt (S3), die über das Schloss Santa Maria, genannt Castellaccio, zurück nach Tirano führt. Dank der günstigen Lage und der moderaten Höhen (max. 720 m) ist der Weg für alle Jahreszeiten geeignet, ausgenommen vielleicht die kälteren Monate und die Mittagsstunden an heißen Sommertagen. Die Strecke ist durchgängig mit vertikalen Markierungen (rote Pfeile), Infotafeln und horizontaler Markierung mit weiß-roter Wegflagge versehen und erfordert eine angemessene Fahrtechnik (mittlere Schwierigkeit S1).

Die Befahrung im Uhrzeigersinn wird empfohlen.
