The Rusca Path is a historic route that partly retraces the Strada Cavallera, a commercial route that connected Sondrio with the Muretto Pass (2,562 m), a communication gateway between Valtellina and Engadine. The complete route starts from Sondrio and reaches the Muretto Pass: by mountain bike, you can go as far as Chiesa in Valmalenco and from there onward the second part can be covered on foot, mainly on dirt roads, paths, and mule tracks, passing through San Giuseppe and Chiareggio. Along the route, there are several rest points with information panels and play areas for children.

Il Sentiero Rusca è un itinerario storico che ripercorre in parte la Strada Cavallera, rotta commerciale che collegava Sondrio col Passo del Muretto (2.562 m), porta di comunicazione tra Valtellina ed Engadina. L’itinerario completo parte da Sondrio e arriva al Passo del Muretto: in mountain bike si può arrivare fino a Chiesa in Valmalenco e da lì in poi si può percorrere la seconda parte a piedi, prevalentemente di strade sterrate, sentieri e mulattiere, passando per San Giuseppe e Chiareggio. Lungo il percorso sono presenti diversi punti di sosta con pannelli informativi e aree gioco per bambini.

Der Rusca-Weg ist eine historische Route, die teilweise die Strada Cavallera nachverfolgt, eine Handelsroute, die Sondrio mit dem Passo del Muretto (2.562 m), dem Verbindungstor zwischen Valtellina und Engadin, verband. Die vollständige Route beginnt in Sondrio und endet am Passo del Muretto: Mit dem Mountainbike kann man bis nach Chiesa in Valmalenco fahren und von dort an kann der zweite Teil zu Fuß zurückgelegt werden, überwiegend auf Schotterstraßen, Pfaden und Saumpfaden, vorbei an San Giuseppe und Chiareggio. Entlang der Strecke gibt es verschiedene Rastplätze mit Informationstafeln und Spielbereichen für Kinder.
