The Violet Path offers a charming experience for enthusiasts of walking and cycling in the Upper Valtellina. Over 10 km long, this cycle-pedestrian route starts from Semogo, Valdidentro, and extends to Bormio. Accessible to all, it allows you to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty and integrates perfectly with the Valtellina Path, starting from the Pentagon in Bormio.

The recent completion of the Violet Path towards Bormio makes Upper Valtellina an ideal option for those seeking tranquility outdoors, away from vehicle traffic.

Starting from the Semogo sports center area, next to the cemetery on the right side, there is an initial downhill stretch of cycle-pedestrian track to the first bridge that leads to the valley floor. This route, known as the "Violet Path," takes its name from the homonymous watercourse crossing the valley. After crossing a second bridge, the path continues on the left side, with the "La Presura" sports area as the first point of interest on the right side as soon as the first houses of Isolaccia are reached; the route continues in the direction passing the village of Isolaccia to then reach the hamlet of Pedenosso, passing near the Rasin Power Plant and ending at the Ski Stadium on Via Azzurri d'Italia.

The most recently completed section starts from the Ski Stadium, crosses the bridge, and moves to the left bank of the river, passing shortly after near the Motte roundabout to then reach the "Sughetto" locality, where an ancient stone bridge with distinctive charm is crossed. A short stretch along the right bank offers views of the village of Fior d'Alpe, then crosses a new bridge which, after a slight downhill stretch, allows access to the "Planecc" sports area in Premadio.

From here, the path continues on a not yet paved stretch that passes through a pine forest at the edges of the A2A water intake, then crosses the Viola stream once again and joins the cycle path that descends from the San Gallo Church and heads towards the end of the route near the Pentagon area of Bormio. From this point, the Valtellina Path begins, following the course of the Adda river and stretching to Colico.

Il Sentiero Viola offre un'esperienza incantevole per gli appassionati di passeggiate e pedalate nell'Alta Valtellina. Lungo oltre 10 km, questo percorso ciclo-pedonale parte da Semogo, Valdidentro, e si estende fino a Bormio. Accessibile a tutti, consente di godere della bellezza naturale circostante e si integra perfettamente con il Sentiero Valtellina, partendo dal Pentagono a Bormio.

Il recente completamento del Sentiero Viola verso Bormio rende l'Alta Valtellina un'opzione ideale per chi cerca tranquillità all'aria aperta, lontano dal traffico veicolare.

Partendo dall'area del centro sportivo di Semogo, accanto al cimitero sul lato destro, inizia un tratto di pista ciclo-pedonale con una discesa iniziale fino al primo ponte che consente di raggiungere il fondo valle. Questo percorso, noto come "Sentiero Viola", prende il nome dall'omonimo corso d'acqua che attraversa la valle. Si attraversa un secondo ponte e il percorso prosegue quindi sul lato sinistro, con l'area sportiva "La Presura" quale primo punto di interesse sul lato destro appena si raggiungono le prime abitazioni di Isolaccia; il tracciato continua in direzione passando l'abitato di Isolaccia per poi raggiungere la frazione di Pedenosso, passando vicino alla Centrale Elettrica di Rasin e terminando allo Ski Stadium in Via Azzurri d'Italia.

Il tratto più recentemente completato parte dallo Ski Stadium, attraversa il ponte e si sposta sul versante sinistro del fiume, passando poco più avanti nei pressi della rotonda delle Motte per poi raggiungere la località "Sughetto", dove si attraversa un antico ponte in pietra dal fascino caratteristico. Una breve tratta lungo la sponda destra offre scorci sull'abitato della località di Fior d'Alpe, per poi attraversare un nuovo ponte che dopo un breve tratto in lieve discesa consente di giungere in prossimità del punto di accesso all'area sportiva "Planecc" a Premadio.

Da qui, il percorso prosegue in un tratto non ancora asfaltato che passa in pineta ai margini della presa dell'acqua A2A per poi attraversare poco più avanti il torrente Viola per un'ultima volta ancora e congiungersi al tratto di ciclabile che scende dalla Chiesa di San Gallo e che va verso la fine del tracciato posto in prossimità della zona del Pentagono di Bormio. Da questo punto, prende il via il Sentiero Valtellina che fiancheggiando il corso del fiume Adda si snoda fino a Colico.

Die kürzliche Fertigstellung des Sentiero Viola in Richtung Bormio macht das obere Veltlin zu einer idealen Option für alle, die Ruhe im Freien, fern vom Straßenverkehr, suchen.

Ausgehend vom Sportzentrum von Semogo, neben dem Friedhof auf der rechten Seite, beginnt ein Abschnitt des Rad- und Fußwegs mit einem anfänglichen Abstieg bis zur ersten Brücke, die das Talboden erlaubt zu erreichen. Dieser Weg, bekannt als "Sentiero Viola", ist nach dem gleichnamigen Fluss benannt, der das Tal durchquert. Man überquert eine zweite Brücke und der Weg setzt sich dann auf der linken Seite fort, mit dem Sportareal "La Presura" als erstem interessanten Punkt auf der rechten Seite, sobald die ersten Häuser von Isolaccia erreicht sind; die Strecke führt weiter in Richtung Isolaccia, dann zur Fraktion Pedenosso, vorbei am Wasserkraftwerk Rasin und endet am Ski-Stadion in der Via Azzurri d'Italia.

Der neueste Abschnitt beginnt am Ski-Stadion, überquert die Brücke und verläuft auf der linken Flussseite, kommt bald an der Motten-Kreuzung vorbei und erreicht dann den Ort "Sughetto", wo eine antike, charakteristische Steinbrücke überquert wird. Ein kurzer Abschnitt an der rechten Uferseite bietet Ausblicke auf die Ortschaft Fior d'Alpe, dann überquert man eine neue Brücke, die nach einem kurzen leichten Gefälle zur Zugangsbereich zum Sportareal "Planecc" in Premadio führt.

Von hier verläuft der Weg auf einem noch nicht asphaltierten Abschnitt durch einen Kiefernwald am Rand der Wasserentnahme A2A, überquert bald danach den Fluss Viola zum letzten Mal und verbindet sich mit dem Radwegabschnitt, der von der Kirche San Gallo herabführt und zum Ende des Weges in der Nähe des Pentagon-Bereichs von Bormio führt. Von diesem Punkt aus beginnt der Sentiero Valtellina, der dem Verlauf des Flusses Adda folgt und bis nach Colico führt.
