The Sentiero del Viandante is a hiking route of approximately 70 km, which runs along the eastern shore of Lake Como, specifically along "that branch of the lake of Lecco." It then continues into Valtellina on the Orobie shore until Morbegno. The route does not trace an actual ancient road but is the result of the combination of several paths that in the past connected the villages on the Lecco shore of the lake and which in turn were part of a wider system of routes connecting Milan to the Alpine passes. The route is marked by typical orange arrows and can be hiked in full or in stages. Of note are the frequent intersections with the Lecco-Colico-Sondrio railway line, which allow hikers to cover the Sentiero one stage at a time, returning by train to the starting point. Il Sentiero del Viandante è un percorso escursionistico di circa 70 km, che si snoda lungo la sponda orientale del Lago di Como, ovvero lungo “quel ramo del lago di Lecco". Prosegue poi in Valtellina sulla sponda orobica fino a Morbegno. Il percorso non ricalca una vera e proprio antica via, ma è il frutto dell’unione di alcuni tracciati che nel passato univano i paesi della sponda lecchese del lago e che a loro volta facevano parte di un sistema più ampio di vie di collegamento da Milano ai passi alpini. Il percorso è scandito dalle tipiche frecce color arancione e può essere percorso per intero o a tappe. Si segnalano a questo proposito le frequenti intersezioni con la linea ferroviaria Lecco-Colico-Sondrio, grazie alle quali è possibile percorrere il Sentiero una tappa alla volta, tornando in treno al punto di partenza. Der Sentiero del Viandante ist ein etwa 70 km langer Wanderweg, der sich entlang des östlichen Ufers des Comer Sees erstreckt, also entlang "jenes Arms des Sees von Lecco". Er führt dann weiter ins Veltlin am orobischen Ufer bis nach Morbegno. Der Weg folgt keiner echten alten Straße, sondern ist das Ergebnis der Verbindung mehrerer Routen, die in der Vergangenheit die Dörfer am Ufer von Lecco verbanden und Teil eines größeren Systems von Verbindungswegen von Mailand zu den Alpenpässen waren. Der Weg ist durch typisch orangefarbene Pfeile markiert und kann vollständig oder etappenweise begangen werden. In diesem Zusammenhang sind die häufigen Kreuzungen mit der Eisenbahnstrecke Lecco-Colico-Sondrio hervorzuheben, dank denen man den Weg Etappe für Etappe gehen und mit dem Zug zum Ausgangspunkt zurückkehren kann.
