Set in Bormio and the mountains of the Alta Valtellina, spanning the period from World War I to the 1980s.

September 1918: Young Luisa receives the news that her beloved Giuseppe is missing in action after a battle at 4,000 meters. Luisa’s diary intertwines with the letters from the young Alpine soldier, and together they tell the story of war, love, and the rhythm of nature.
