The Family Bob, Bormio's Mini Roller Coaster

The Family Bob is the latest adrenaline-packed attraction for children and families. An Alpine coaster is a toboggan run designed to run on rails, a first in Lombardy! You and your children will love the feeling of sliding down the mountain, around the twists and turns of the track! 

What is the Family Bob?

The Valdidentro Family Bob is a two-seater sledge which runs on a specially laid track down the mountainside. It is like a mini high-altitude roller coaster which uses the natural slope of the mountain to generate speed on the descent. The sledge has a brake to allow each rider to slow down the vehicle. And for everyone's safety, all of the sledges are fitted with a speed limiter that is usually set at around 40 km/h. As with roller coasters, the Family Bob features an anti-derailment mechanism and seat belts to keep you safely in your seat.

The Family Bob starts at the top of the Isolaccia-Pian della Mota ski lift, easy to reach in both summer and winter. The toboggan run is 600 m long and the 300 m ascent is fully automated. The track features wide panoramic and spiral curves, winding its way through the fragrant pine forest.

 It is open to children aged 4 and over, accompanied by an adult. Children aged 8 and over can use the Family Bob unaccompanied.
