Founded by the Tarantola Peloni family, owners of the historic Braulio brand, this brewery is among the first Italian craft breweries and takes its name from the famous Stelvio Pass. After many years of production and a pause in 2017 to focus on the new Amaro Braulio cellars, in 2019 the project was relaunched by the De Monti brothers, aiming to revive the Birra Stelvio brand.
In 2022, just a few steps from the original facility, the Bormio Brewery was established, where today the renowned Birra Stelvio and the new Reit line are produced. The brewery is open for visits by appointment, offering a chance to explore the brewing process and taste local craft beers.
