Until 1977, when the Piazzeda driveway was built, the hamlet could only be reached by a steep and bumpy old mule track, the Strada vegia de Piazzeda. The mule track starts from the hamlet of Selva Vegia and more precisely from the Albergo Altavilla. After a stretch of paved road along Via Ai Monti, the path climbs to the left, skirting the terraces and admiring the view of the valley in an area called Mur Bianc. At the top of them, at the point where the mule track meets the driveway is Località Rocul. The Rocul is located at the top of the hump overlooking the village and is a vantage point that offers a beautiful view of the village and the entire valley.
The Rocul is so named because at one time there was a bird catcher's roccolo.
Here the mule track enters the forest, offering the opportunity to totally immerse oneself in nature. And, as you climb, you can see the ruins of the Cà Bianca, the Zòca del Mùsin, the Bèrta locality, the Cantine Del Toni, the Biorca, and the Santella. One is sure of having arrived when the white church of St. Anne and Joachim of Piazzeda appears to the eyes.
