The trail begins at the nucleus of the Houses of Viso, one of the most significant examples of rural architecture in the Camune Valleys. The Baite built with schist stones and covered with local "prède," today represent an important example of respectful preservation of the memory of the place and the activity of pastoralism that has characterized the economy of the area for centuries. From the picnic area near the Case di Viso, take the war mule track on the right that zigzags its way up through green alder bushes, where it is easy to spot the deer that habitually graze there. Past this strip of vegetation you enter the high-altitude pastures; here the trail climbs with wide switchbacks and a rather steep gradient until it reaches the Montozzo Pond. You skirt it and shortly reach the Bozzi Refuge.
