From the hairpin turn above the Second Cantoniera, on the Stelvio Road, starts trail S505 which leads to the Valle dei Vitelli. After crossing the stream, at the fork, continue straight until reaching the locality of Le Buse. Due to its sheltered area, during the war, the Buse basin was chosen for the construction of a real military village defended by a complex of trenches dug on the ridge behind. Two artillery positions in a gallery aimed at the Stelvio Road and the Valle dei Vitelli to prevent a possible Austrian attack. From Le Buse, continue by cutting across the slopes of Glandadura, reach Pian Pecci, leave to the right the path that descends to the First Cantoniera and continue to the panoramic Passo del Crap dell'Aquila, from where a path among the dwarf pines descends to the Stelvio highway near the locality of Palone.
