From Vione you reach by car the village of Cané and then the parking lot near the picnic area of Cortebona (during the summer season this last stretch of road is open only at certain times). From here among the larch forests, the route along the smallest, but no less significant, of the Camune valleys begins. The landscape is characterized by white marble veins running diagonally across the metamorphic rock complex of Mount Coleazzo. Also interesting are the Longobard remains that with a short detour can be seen on the slopes of Mount Bles, on the opposite side. After crossing Rio Fumeclo twice, you reach the Casere di Valzaroten cheese factories from where the path continues with a steeper slope and is less and less evident. You now take a left until you add the Laghetti di Pietra Rossa, small pools at the foot of the peak of the same name.
