Near the main entrance of the church of S. Maria, take the cobbled lane that climbs steeply uphill; after crossing the whole characteristic district and passing a stone fountain, you reach the asphalt road and take it uphill to the right (note the typical baltresca on the first house you come across along the road); at the next fork, continue keeping to the left; after a few dozen meters the asphalt ends and you continue on a dirt track; continue skirting some pasture meadows. In the locality of Sanciun (signpost) you continue along the main road following the hairpin bend to the left; you also take the next hairpin bend to the right, leaving another dirt track on your left. You continue further in hairpin bends, leaving out some secondary tracks that branch off from the main track. You then come near a rural building (which you leave to your right) and after a few hundred meters of moderate slope you reach some wide meadows, beyond which you intersect the Teglio-Prato Valentino municipal road; continue turning left, along the asphalt, for a few dozen meters; then take a dirt road on the right (signposted for an agritourism business) that, entering the woods and skirting some meadows, quickly leads to La Piana.
