Between Our di Fondo and Our di Cima villages there is a dirt road leading to the panoramic meadow of Alpe Granda in about one-hour time. Leaving the small Cima di Granda elevation, turn right after the pasture at Alpe Granda lodge (1688 m a.s.l.). The lane running through the wood and Alpe Merla reaches after two hairpin turns the middle of Scermendone alpine pasture, along the ridge that divides Valtellina from eastern Valmasino. The view here is spectacular, looking over most of Valellina and Orobie to the south, the high peaks of Valmasino to the north, Disgrazia mount to the east and Costiera dei Ce'ch mountains to the west. After passing the small lake at a lodge, continue along the crest until reaching the destination: the ancient church of S. Quirico, known as San Ce'res (2131 m a.s.l.). The return is on the same route.
