There are several routes to reach Rifugio Bosio-Galli. The one we propose on this walk starts from the locality of Primolo in the Municipality of Chiesa in Valmalenco. The start of the hike is at about 1350 meters altitude and is free, so no transit permit is required for the car. You climb just beyond the locality of Primolo and at the end of a dirt road you follow the Cai signs first to Alpe Pirlo and then to Rifugio Bosio-Galli. The hike is pleasant and relaxing, you do not have to overcome excessive altitude differences. You can follow the direct route to the refuge or make a slight detour and cross enchanted alpine pastures such as Alpe Pirlo and Alpe Giumellini, before resuming the main track and reaching the locality of Laghi di Chiesa where you can stop before continuing the walk. From here you proceed partly on a path and partly along the forest road that was created to reach Alpe Airale. After passing this last location, at about 2080 meters, you cross a small bridge in an enchanted landscape and reach our destination. For the return, you can follow directly the ascent route or descend directly to Chiesa in Valmalenco following the indications on the Cai boards.
