The route starts at the cluster of Case di Viso, one of the most significant examples of rural architecture in the Camune Valleys. The huts built with schist stones and covered with local "prède" represent today an important example of respectful preservation of local memory and the shepherding activity that characterized the area's economy for centuries. From the picnic area near Case di Viso, take the military mule track on the right that zigzags through green alder bushes, where it is easy to spot deer that usually graze there. After this vegetation zone, you reach the high-altitude pastures; here the route climbs with wide switchbacks and a rather steep slope until it reaches the Montozzo Pond. You walk along it and shortly arrive at Rifugio Bozzi.
