The locality Poira di Civo, or "di dentro", is the starting point of trail number 23 to the Bivacco Bottani Cornaggia. The positive elevation gain is 1,250 m, making it a hike through the Alpine altitude zones.

The sign indicating the destination is by the roadside, near the small field and a few steps from the parking lot. The trail, which begins after a short dirt section, immediately enters the forest and climbs with a long series of switchbacks. The firebreak trail - at about 1,450 m altitude - must be crossed to resume the trail that continues in a zig-zag, then with a traverse westward, then turns right towards Pra' Succ, the only locality on the route, at 1,646 m altitude. The trail is marked to the right of three stone huts, the highest in the summer pasture, and from here climbs among increasingly sparse trees. The ridge acts as a passage to Alpe Visogno, a wide plateau - with a large hut - at two thousand meters altitude with the red bivouac in sight and a beautiful panorama towards the Orobic Alps, particularly Valgerola and Albaredo Valley. The plain - a glacial peat bog - must be crossed uphill, among grass and stones to climb the scree, always on its right side. The final section, with some steep passages, crosses the ridge and here is the Bivacco Bottani Cornaggia (2,327 m).

The return follows the same route.
