The 42km route starts in the historic center of Tirano, at Madonna di Tirano you tackle the panoramic and short climb that leads to the Church of Santa Perpetua, and from here, in a maze of historic paths carved on dry stone walls overlooking the villages of Villa di Tirano and Bianzone and the Zanolari winery, we arrive at the elegant Tenuta la Gatta, a gem among Nebbiolo rows, which the competitors cross before facing the first important difficulty of the day: the climb of Boalzo and the Torre de li Beli Miri of Teglio (km 18). From the village of Teglio you go downhill to reach km 24 in Chiuro, the starting point of the half marathon, with which it shares the route.
