The two routes intersect at the Val Fontana bridge, just before the entrance to Valtellina's largest winery, the Nino Negri.Once out of the Negri winery, the route starts climbing again, this time along easy dirt roads and through Ponte Valtellina's hamlets and apple orchards, to the Ròn valley bridge (km 28).After two kilometers you cross the village of Tresivio, to enter the Inferno wine sub-zone, with short but intense ups and downs in the wine-growing area of Poggiridenti. The finish line is no longer very far away, but the last seven kilometers still present a few short rough patches before reaching Montagna di Valtellina and then into its Castel Grumello, a real sight just a stone's throw from Sondrio. Past the castle, after the last short climb, we enjoy the final walkway over the Dossi Salati, another terrain of fine Valtellina wines, and then the short nosedive into Sondrio that leads into the city's nightlife at Piazza Garibaldi.
