Shortly after the town of Fumero, you reach the large parking lot of Fontanaccia. A military mule track from the 1915-1918 war S519 goes up the valley along the right side of the Rezzalasch stream and soon reaches the wooden bridge of La Pontela with beautiful huts that represent one of the most suggestive settlements in the valley. Continuing along the valley, you encounter the intake of the Sondalo Hospital aqueduct and the huts of Li Ghenda, located at the foot of a landslide of large granite blocks. Passing the Picac, the fir forest gives way to larch and opens up to the wide plain of S. Bernard. All around is a landscape characterized by numerous alpine pastures with ancient wooden huts, some still well preserved: Li Salina, Teat, La Macogia, San Bernardo with the church of the same name.
