From the Forni Refuge to the Fantelle car park, this evocative stage is suspended above the Valfurva, at the foot of Mount Confinale, where in a succession of suggestive landscape changes, you encounter small groups of mountain huts and dairies: the Forni with the nearby Pradaccio huts, the Ables huts, the Confinale hut, and the Cavallaro huts. Crossing centuries-old woods and rosy hillsides covered with rhododendrons, it is common to observe animal species that are symbolic of the Stelvio National Park, such as Bearded Vultures, Golden Eagles, Marmots, and Ermine. Once at Baite Cavallaro, and after enjoying the broad panorama of the Bormio basin, the descent begins toward the mouth of Val Zebru', and then the stage finishes climbing to the Fantelle car park, in the district of Madonna dei Monti.
