The overall elevation change and length are significant for those who are not fit enough; the use of medium motor assistance may be necessary. The route starts from Polaggia (a hamlet of Berbenno) and goes up on asphalt following the signs for Gaggio and Pra' Isio. Many hairpin bends are traveled through the woods with a constant slope up to the meadows of Gaggio, where the road becomes paved and reaches Pra' Isio exiting the forest. The natural terrace of the alp offers splendid views over the entire middle Valtellina and the peaks of the Orobie. At the top of the meadows, continue to the right on a dirt road entering the Caldenno valley: the slope decreases just below the characteristic cluster of huts of the homonymous alp. The last steep hairpin bends allow you to reach the little alpine church: to the north, you can see the peaks of the Corni Bruciati. From Berbenno, it is possible, alternatively, to take the ridge that leads to Pra' Maslin.
