This circular e-bike route starts in Bormio and winds along the picturesque Pedemontana della Reit, a historic trail that runs halfway up the southern slopes of Monte Reit, an imposing Dolomite peak overlooking the Bormio valley.

The route alternates between gentle uphill sections and long, nearly flat traverses through beautiful larch forests, offering continuous views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The first part follows the Pedemontana trail itself, while the second ventures into wilder terrain, crossing the Uzza Valley and utilizing sections of old military roads built during World War I.

The route offers a varied and dynamic experience: from smooth, scenic cycling to more exciting and technical downhill sections through woods and trails, culminating in the return to Bormio via historic sites such as the area around the Castle of San Pietro.

Thanks to the use of e-bikes, the route is accessible to a wide audience: the moderate elevation gain and gentle gradients allow riders to fully enjoy the natural setting of the Stelvio National Park, amid alpine flora, tranquility, and sweeping views of the valley.

The dirt section starts from the Pravasivo parking lot at 1,400 m. Follow the signs for Pramezzano and Uzza on dirt road no. 533, traveling a long stretch through the woods until you reach several junctions on the right that allow you to descend directly to Bormio via trail markers no. 538 and no. 511. Instead, we find ourselves at a scenic clearing with a wooden structure at 1,530 m and take trail No. 511 to the left toward Casina Alta, heading east. Almost immediately, we pass another turnoff on the right and follow the Uzza Valley on a gentle ascent toward the north. We soon emerge from the woods beneath the looming rock faces of the Cresta di Reit, cross the streams of two valleys via a ford and a bridge, and, after a short steep climb, turn left into the woods at a fork. We then come to the Ables military road at a wide hairpin bend with trail marker No. 531 at an elevation of 1,580 m. We follow the dirt road that climbs to Ortagio (1,620 m), and shortly after the second hairpin turn, we take the road to the right (trail marker no. 546), which leads first to Plazzanecco (1,690 m), then to Cadalberto (trail marker no. 547), and finally to the Fantelle parking lot (1,600 m). The next trail reaches the Ponte delle Tre Croci (1,610 m), from where we turn left into Val Zebru'. We continue on the dirt road to the right (trail marker no. 527), climb to Pradaccio (1,658 m), and just past the mountain huts we come to a four-way intersection: we descend again to the right (trail marker no. 567) toward San Gottardo and Sant’Antonio Valfurva. At the junction for Plazzanecco, you can choose instead to continue the ascent along the military road, turn right at the fourth hairpin bend, reach the panoramic Alpe Solaz di Sopra, and descend to Fantelle on a steep and challenging trail.
