The 15-km tour starts and ends at the Sentiero Valtellina in Cosio Valtellino, where the pump track is located.

The first section follows the bike and pedestrian path along the Adda River; you’ll then cross the river via the road bridge, and past the roundabout, the SP 5 —which is signposted—begins toward Cino. The climb—with some sections having a gradient between 10% and 15%—follows the provincial road; on either side are vineyards, clusters of houses, and woods: an invitation to look around.

The sign indicating the first high-altitude stop, Cino (504 m), is located after 10 hairpin turns and about 3 km from the valley floor; from here, follow the road toward the clearly visible bell tower. The historic center of Cino, with its narrow, uphill streets, features the Church of San Giorgio, whose churchyard offers a panoramic view. The route continues along Via Garibaldi, then passes the cemetery and returns to Provincial Road 5, heading toward Cercino.  Follow the road—which winds up and down through the woods—until you reach the turnoff for Via Roma (right); past the small chapel and the bridge over the Valle di Siro stream, you’ll reach the village of Cercino (487 m). The Church of San Martino—like all the churches in the Cech area—offers a beautiful view of the valley.

The descent toward the valley floor followsVia Provinciale Cercino Piussogno and passes through (left turn onto Via Piazzo) a cluster of old stone houses currently undergoing a major and interesting restoration project. Via Ca’ Rossa, which is unpaved for a short stretch, connects to Traona and its historic center of noble palaces. The route to the destination descends all the way downVia Vallone, follows a short stretch of Provincial Road 4 dirC, and, after crossing the road bridge over the Adda River, turns left (be careful when crossing) onto the Valtellina Trail.
