A stage of considerable length, with the strenuous ascent of Val Sassersa, interrupted by the pleasant encounter of the 3 Sassersa small lakes, up to Passo Ventina. Extraordinary and varied, it crosses very different environments, from Alpe Mastabbia which offers a beautiful view of the Bernina group. Free of dangers, it is extraordinarily varied and evocative, as well as rich in ethnographic and naturalistic points of interest (talc mines, soapstone quarries, summer pastures and mountain pastures). With this stage you enter the heart of the Disgrazia group.
NOTES:
- It is possible from Alpe Giumellino to continue to Alpe Pirlo and then climb further. In this case, the stage is lengthened by about an hour of walking. At Alpe Pirlo you can see ancient lathes used for working soapstone.
